Thank you for sharing this video. I wouldn't have thought of a sewed in button band. There are a lot if times that I finish the sweater body, ready to start on front bands and think I just don't want designer's ribbed horizontal band. I'd rather do vertical band that carries on the asthetic of the sweater body. Now I have an option, and great tips to make it fit correctly. Thank you
Gorgeous sweater! It will be a classic for your wardrobe, most certainly! The vertical button band definitely enhances the design. The tutorial was informative! Thank you.
Your sweater is awesome!! Thanks for your little tutorial. Love the design of this sweater. Hope you are having a wonderful Spring. Just got my second vaccine yesterday--- I am very happy about this. Tail wags to you and your pups.
Great video! Thank you! Im curious if you did a slipped stitch at the selvedge of the band (the side that remains on the visible edge with the 3 knit stitches). It looks so neat and beautifully curved. Or did you just do 3 knit stitches normally?
Hi i loved this video and cardigan do u have a video for the cardigan as well. Im i visually knitter n crocheter. Stay safe. Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you, this will be a big help to sew a vertical band on my aran cardigan. The garment in this video is perfect, well done.

Beautiful sweater! Loved the tutorial. Button bands seem tricky, but you made it very doable. They turned out so nicely. Thank you!

Hi Cheryl, I slipped the outside stitch :) Good eye!
Another great tutorial Melissa. I think I might have considered a zipper if the sweater weight was sufficient enough. Can’t wait to see it on ypu?
Cathy--a great idea! This wool would be a bit tricky, but a worsted spun would work well :)

Hi Natalie, thanks for commenting. I have an episode (100) up about the cardigan--it's the Reverb cardigan by Tanis Lavalee
@@knittingthestash thanks for the information
What's the reason for not knitting this particular button band as part of the sweater front? More stability? Different gauge/needle size?
From what I can gather from the pattern: both! But I think it would work well as an integrated band as well.
❤️
Thanks, looks like squishy wool, lovely.
Thanks, Jenny :)
