- From an open track day at Padborg park - my first track day :)
The car is a 2007 Fiat panda 100 HP completely standard, with 198.000km on the clock.
Tires are 175/55R15 Bridgestone RE050A (normal street tire) on a 6x15 ET31,5 Steel rim.
Running narrower, higher profile tires compared the stock 100HP setup (195/45R15 on a 6.5x15 ET30 rim), meant that the the track width was narrower, and the gearing was 2,9% higher, and the grip was much lower.
The only advantage to running those wheels was that the ESP, which can't be turned off, would not interfere when driving smoothly.
3 days after this I returned with at set of original 100HP 6.5x15 ET30 wheels with very worn uniroyal rainsport tires (195/50R15). The grip was much better, but the stupid ESP would interfere too much.
Still a good experience though, and the car was more fun than expected.
excellent driving skill!
Goes well. Nicely driven too :)
For a hundred horsepower, it's not too bad. And thanks :)
Ma fantastica! E guidata magistralmente.
Instant classic
lol
Excellent! Have you made any modifications? I highly recommend the DNA rear anti roll bar for track work
Hey man! Thanks :) No mods at all, actually the opposite, as I'm running 175/50R15 tires. I'm going to Padborg again on monday, and really hope to get some better rubber before then!
An anti rear roll bar would be really good, as I really only had understeer. Does it give you a bit of lift off oversteer, as I imagine it will?
And does it fit the 100HP rear axle, or do I have to find a late 500/ka axle?
Testacorsa DNA bar fits the HP rear beam, for track work I’m going to use 195/50 15 Nankand NS-2R soon at Cadwell Park in the UK
@@MrAsaJames Cool, thanks. I hear only good of those tires. Would love to visit cadwell one day. You Brits have so many awesome tracks!
Wish I could knock down from 4th to 3rd in my 100hp, 3rd gear grind🙄.
Are springs original?
Yes, they are.
Nice vid! Where's the 60 hp panda?
Thanks 😊
Sadly it was time the let "The Bear" go to a new home.
The 100HP feels just like home though, just a bit peppier.
Sad for the 60 hp Panda but glad to see what 100 hp gives in such a small car ^^ I do the same as you in a 60 hp/800 kg Citroën saxo
@@dilysi156 Yeah me too. I saw your new wheels video yesterday - Good idea to bring the gearing and weight down. 60hp for 800kg will be lots of fun!
@@dilysi156 My Swift GTi 800kg/110HP, max Rpm 8700! 😍
@@laszloblue3611 lovely cars! What's your 0-100 time?
is the exhaust original?
No, but it isn't a sports exhaust, just a pattern part. MTS, I think the brand is. Cheap, from Italy, and ok quality.
Er den standard 100 HP?
Fulstændig, pånær at jeg kørte på smallere dæk, fordi det lige var hvad jeg havde. 175/50R15 mod 195/45R15 originalt. Der var ikke meget greb, og den understyrede en del.
