"Gotta paint fast". I love that the segment ended with that! See all of life, take it all in, capture it like these paintings if you have that talent.. just never take it for granted!
Newly disabled, of many things that I miss and I'm sick and feeling sad about it, is hikes during this time of the year and finding little patches of wildflowers on the mountain sides here in the beautiful PNW.
Every season has its own beauty, never forget that we must conserve this for future generations!

Sending you wavelengths of wildflowers from Vermont,
I truly wish you a beautiful year with new ways to explore.
May nature find you any way it can, tending to a fish tank
or terrarium may be a way to enjoy a zen garden at your leisure.

There are many nature preserves that have easy access without going too far on the trail - especially ones for birdwatchers and the natural habitat is spectacular!

@@l.e.m.friedman5965 I know what u mean. Had attorney here in Missouri Ozarks for 9 yrs before I won my disability case. I was told you have to be over 52 and it helped that a judge from California flew in to adjudicate my case. When he saw how they had mistreated me during my previous hearings calling me poor, oportunic and not wanting to work. By that time I had already worked 25 years, paying into the system with each paycheck. The judge got really mad and made them date my case retroactively with Medicare and backpay checks. I would much rather work but here in my town and at my age they don't want to hire someone who has to use a walker and is in chronic pain 24/7. If you have a good attorney that helps but really good medical documentation by your doctors will help the most. Don't give up- or be discouraged.

@@beadmore Roberta Vann I would have persued it more but my Husband a Special Needs Teacher for High School in NM. Had heart issues and developed End Stage Renal Disease in Jan 2011. He died in the Summer of 2013 . I was caretaking Him. And still had my youngest and Last Daughter in a local College. I gave her Her freedom as much as I could to go stay with girl friends and be a College
Student. My husband and I were married 34 years. I worked all the way thru our marriage. I got "corkscrewed" by the local school district and the Vice Superintendent of Schools. My Husband was short by a week of having his full pension.I could have bought into it for about $1,400. I was never told that.I only found out about it in April,This year. I am not sure what I can do The Vice Superintendent of Schools who "neglected" to tell me that I could buy that last week to get my husband's pension. Died last year in June. might Just be worth talking to a Lawyer one last time. Thanks.👍

My grandparents started out in Crested Butte in 1904 when they came through Ellis Island from a mountainous area of Croatia. I wonder if this beauty reminded them of home. I hope their life in a mining town wasn't too hard. The flowers must have helped. At least the "Sneeze Weed".

Dandelions are one of the first to flower! And because of that it is is very important for bees. Dandelions fill that empty space in time where it’s warm enough for bees to fly, but there’s very few flowers. Weeds grow first in spring and bloom first, and keep blooming! Try planting a set of 3 in your garden

Crested Butte's elevation is almost 9000', so if you live at a much lower elevation, make sure to gain elevation over several days so your body can acclimatize to the lower oxygen levels.

Wildflower is a term that is meaningless, and Crested Butte should know better. Dandelions and clover can be considered wildflowers, but they're non-native weeds. Native plant festival would be better but whatever.
