- The Supreme Court returned lower court rulings and stated that a former president has absolute immunity for his core constitutional powers.
Chief Justice John Roberts, who wrote the opinion, said former President Trump is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts, but there is no immunity for unofficial acts.

All these crybabies he wanted to protest an election...... so did Hillary and AL Gore so did Nixon in 1960 and Samuel Tildon in 1876. Now did some of his supporters go to far by breaking into the capitol building and should rhey be prosecuted of course but we led a slippery slope the previous few years when we allowed Anfifa and other groups to occupy other state and federal buildings like in Seattle and in Minneapolis during the George Floyd riots with no arrests and the fact you had federal agents letting and cops letting I'm these protestors seems a bit questionable because I would have thought that there should have been machine gun fire upon anyone attempting to breaking into the capitol building so it seemed a bit like an inside job to get the narrative they wanted.
