You are spot on when you say someone who sniffs this in store will know right away that it is different from the others. I grabbed it since it resembles Milestone (UAE) scents. I loved it right away, and it was pretty much a blind buy since I couldn’t spritz it in front of the Marshalls staff member. I just sniffed the cap. For the record, the dupe is pronounced ree-VAIR-UH (like Geraldo Rivera), and the original is pronounced REE-VAIR (like the French pronunciation of River “rivère”). Great review! Glad you superimposed a pic of the original!
Just picked it up today from Marshall...it's a clone of Thameen Riviere...they also had 2 in there that were clones of D&G's Velvet collection...Velvet Sun & Velvet Incenso, I already own the o.g Velvet Amber Sun, I'm going back for that Velvet Incense one, it was still stuck in my nose when I left the store...I have the Haneen Rivera sprayed on my forearm while driving in my work truck, the sun is beaming on my arm & has this thing radiating off of my skin. 👍🏾
True story: when I sprayed a little on the hand at the Marshalls store everyone around me wanted to know what it was! To me this is an intoxicating alluring scent! $14.99 can't beat it, so I'm glad I bought two!
Just got this today because it smells like a fragrance i have that has violet leaf in it. Looked it up and sure enough saw it as a note. It smells a lot stronger than what i have, so i didn't even think twice about it. Apparently, violet leaf is my thing.
I got riviere 2 days ago. It gets compliments. If it doesnt get compliments, then it will get smiles. This one is really good. Funny thing though a lady said I smelled good and like a cigar. I dont get cigar any how. Everybodys point of view and smell is different sometimes though. I got it based off of Max Forti's review.

Saw this in my TJ Maxx a few weeks ago and sprayed it on. Wish I grabbed it, I think it smells great honestly. For the price it is wonderful.
Passed it up for months and finally pulled the trigger today! Should've been gotten it, this one in my opinion is worth it
