Its funny that you should mention Michael Miers as a good example of a slasher. In the latest Halloween movie, Laurie actually felt like a good example of a Hunter, and I have the personal headcannon that in between the first and latest movie, Laurie may have hunted other slashers in preparation for Michael's return.
Now there's an idea, Lilith: Starting a normal mortals game with a slasher as the antagonist. Those who survive the attack then in turn become fixated on hunting down this slasher. If they succeed, maybe they take it to that next level and go and actively seek out other slashers to give then what's coming to them. All in all, slowly descending from normal people to Slashers (Avengers to Legends) themselves. That would be pretty awesome to pull on new players!

Seeing players go from survivors to actively hunting the horrors of the night, to possibly either losing their way or becoming corrupted versions of themselves (or maybe heroic monsters) sounds like a very fun game night.
It doesn't just sound like a fun game night Lilith - it may be the most perfect Batman-esque game night to ever happen! What types of games do you typically participate in and/or run?
@@TheBotchPit I typically play Exalted, (Twilight Caste for Life!) though I have been trying to get a game of Eclipse Phase started with a friend, and a game of Armageddon End Times started with another friend. Usually just one on one GM/Player stuff since I get busy with college and dont like slowing down games because i have to work on projects and essays. I have tried to run multiple games (usually freeform) but I am absolutely terrible at being a GM. Aside from that I usually just enjoy reading about the lore of games and usually suggesting them or crossovers to my Exalted GM. I have been seriously geeking out over that new fanmade Exalted Vs. World Of Darkness crossover that was made by a former White Wolf writer.

Slashers are super unnerving because serial killers do exist. Even if you're unlikely to meet a dream demon or an immortal undead in a hockey mask you could be unfortunate enough to encounter a masked psycho with a kitchen knife or a cannibal with a chainsaw and a sledgehammer.
A Maniac character would be the biggest threat: A master strategist with an army of fanatics and absolutely zero regard for loss of life and collateral damage could end groups like the Camarilla with some well-placed stolen/built nuclear bombs. a.k.a. every Bond villain ever

I mentioned in another video how i had hunter game and group of slashers, watching this i thought i'd share the leader of said group. He was a 14-16 year old slasher that had split personality and was a Charmer/Maniac only to use the ability's of the undertaking personality that was currently in control.

Jason is more of a hybrid between a Brute and a Freak imo. In Friday the 13th part 2 to 4 and the remake, Jason was a deformed wild man which would make him similar to a Freak but he was also extremely hard to put down even when he was still human, like Brutes. It gets even wilder when Jason straight up becomes undead in Friday the 13th part 6 and onwards, like undead Jason is like a hybrid between a Mask and a Risen.

How about a slasher that is hunting an individual vampire elder, who he’s hunted across the world. Killing everything in his way, not realising that the vampires he’s killing are in fact the elder’s rivals and enemies. He always gets close enough to kill everyone loyal to the elder that he recruited, but the vampire always escapes and moves to a different city, stoping only because there’s another rival in the city, and then waits for the slasher.

Hey Jake, Goblin Slayer would be considered a scourge, specifically with the undertaking Legend. The rationale behind this is because he would have the previous undertaking of Avenger: Talent: Working the Room (Killing ALOT of goblins at once) with the Frailty: Nothing But the Mission (Killing goblins to avenge his sister). He also eliminates these goblins quite brutally. However in my opinion, he has ascended from this into Legend. People know his as "Goblin Slayer" and not his real name. This is a clear indicator of someone who has reached that "boogeyman status" of a Legend.
@@TheBotchPit what about Alexsander Anderson from Hellsing. He seems like the kind of character that blurs the lines between slasher and hunter? Though I would put him in the hunter category personally because he was disturbed and turned against Maxwell for killing innocent civilians. Also he looks after orphans at an orphanage. @@toreadordude9798 Hey Jake, In Chronicles of Darkness, Alexander Anderson would totally be a hunter (more than likely under the third-tier conspiracy Malleus Maleficarum). However, as he inherently has powers that a normal person would never have, he has to be combined with some other supernatural. If we were to say slasher, the best fit would be an Avenger once again (this undertaking tends to be, in my opinion, the best way for a Hunter to rationalize what they are doing is right). But, I wanted to also offer you some additional things to consider as well. Personally, I feel as though this character would actually fit much, much better as a Hunter: The Reckoning Character using Avenger as his creed (the term from Chronicles comes from this) - especially with the power level he would need to even hold some sort of ground against Alucard in World of Darkness. A cool story that you might like concerns a Hunter (The Reckoning) character by the name of Wendell Delburton, aka Crusader17, an Imbued member of the Avenger creed. In 2003, Wendell Delburton confronted Lucifer, yes THAT Lucifer, in a field outside Wichita and although Lucifer almost immediately kills him, this hunter was so powerful he managed to wound Lucifer on the chest. This wound however, would never heal. This could be a book that you may be interested in, Jake! Hope this helped!

The Vatican trained him and gave him enhancements for years on end. Yet through it all he was still just a human. Albeit well over 200 years old (nanobots also stopped him from aging) but until he plunged one of Helena's nails through his chest his raw physical strength was his own.
