I remember finding the fishing hole on my first playthrough. 9 year old me felt like the world was burning down around me and I had no idea what I was doing and then there was just this calm little spot of paradise that felt untouched.
this place is the epitome of peace. i don't have the time nowadays but once i do, i will definitely start a new playthrough and spend some time here. i really appreciate that it's sort of a hidden place, it feels like a nice little getaway. i also love that you can hear the melody of hyrule field and midna's lament in this theme!
It is this location and music that gave me a major nostalgic itch to pick up a GC controller recently. This definitely is my favorite game of the series. 🥰
I remember I had to wait several months before I could get a copy of the game. I had been following any info I could on the game religiously and couldn't wait. Eventually there was a demo station for the game in my closest GameStop and it was the on the fishing hole. I still didn't have a Wii either since those were impossible to find so this was one of the first times I got to use the Wii as well. It was an incredible moment to play that demo. While I got the game on the GameCube for Christmas and ultimately for me personally Twilight princess GC will be my version, playing the fighting with the wiimote is just amazing. What a crazy game.
It defaults to Spring and most people ever only enter once and then don't re-enter, at least not right away. Might be a per play session kinda thing where it resets every time you quit the game. Maybe the idea was that you would first enter while it's spring and then you could come back later in the story to find that the season is different giving the illusion that time has passed to a significant extent but it wasn't implemented correctly. Or it was a remnant of an idea earlier in development to have changing seasons in the entire world but it was scrapped for time constraints or something, but it exists here as an easter egg. Hard to say for sure. Maybe they just wanted to give the fishing hole seasons to enhance the fishing experience and that's it.
To this day I can’t think of a video game spot I want to live in more than the fishing hole from this game

the little sliver of rainbow by the waterfall???? magical
Yeah I wish TP's fishing hole was a real place
I love Twilight Princess so much ❤
Definitely one of the best areas in the game for a chill sesh
I would love a separate upload for each of the different seasons, love this area and thanks for this upload!
Its wild to me how everyone experienced this game on gamecube while i had it on the wii. For the longest time i thought it was wii exclusive
I experienced it on the n64 and then my laptop lol, though plenty played that version on GC or Wii ofc
Saaaaame, I remember being bewildered that it was on Gamecube. I even thought it was an official *backport* FROM the Wii!
@@GanonduffI don’t think twilight princess is on the n64 lol
@@ZOIDL3S I guess I probably mixed it up and thought it was the Ocarina of Time fishing hole lol
YES SAME
This is my favorite location. It's very peaceful.
