I just want to confirm for that young lady who spoke in your interviews in the streets of Jamaica who said that tax will be deducted from deposit insurance payments, that this is not the case. There is no government tax, fees or any or government deductions from your deposit insurance payments that are due to you. If the bank account balance that is due to you as a depositor of the bank has any amount up to $1,200,000, you will receive from the JDIC that amount due to you, in full, as reflected in your bank account information at the commercial bank, merchant bank and building society that fails.
