What tenor features should I do for part 2?
Do a top 10 snare feature
Another super good tenor feature is from the 2019 Cadets during their "Do Better" segment
The opening tenor feature to RCC 2010
The three mallet tenor feature from RCC 2011
The closer feature from Rhythm X 2009
The feature in Blue Devils 2014
The Dartmouth HS 2012 Every-member-plays-tenor feature (might even be appropriate to dress up as a chicken for that one)
Broken City 2018 ?Pre-closer? feature (I don't know, the one what which they play on the 4 drum and such)
Phantom Regiment 2010
SCV 2019
Bluecoats 2013
Bluecoats 2015
Cavaliers 2017 Spinning Tenor Feature.
Pulse 2010 closer.
“Guys idk if I can play this one”
*plays the lick flawlessly*
I was on the NSU tenor line that year you are insane for learning that bro we big fans 💯🙏🏽
You guys killed it!
👀👀 i need to start practicing again 😭
MDFS….💚💛
How did you even get chops like that bro 😂
Your editing on the 2000 Cadets tenor feature is incredible. I watched the entire thing, then had to rewind because I realized that it shouldn't be possible...
The way you pass behind your own back is seamless.
Pretty sure he just clones himself.
The NSU one is insane because it was a one and done solo. They spend countless hours prepping for their band season (more so than the PWIs) during the summer and also during the actual season. These dudes could crank and they were doing it in the band battle against NCAT (Cold Steel) and absolutely stomped them. This was also the event that they debuted their system blue drums. Being in Norfolk at the time, it rocked the drum community out there showing that the NSU line was the top in the nation.
I don’t know if EMC is being sarcastic or totally serious when he says, “I don’t know if I can play this one guys” after watching every solo. Either way those chops are insane!
he must've been. he's been writing ridiculous stuff for himself to play for years now lol i dont see why he wouldnt have the chops
Good morning! This is video number 37 of me asking Eric to make a set of tenors out of differently sized or tuned snare drums. Happy holidays!
I believe in your cause
@@theredneckdrummerco.6748 me too o7
@@millie_drums me three
I agree
@@EMCproductions …foreshadowing??
(Wish me luck I’m trying out for tenors in my school battery in 1 week)
I knew Norfolk State drumline was crazy but gah DAMN that was nuts
Man that MDF$ quad feature is my favorite too! One of the best HBCU lines!
👆👆👆. 👈👉. 👆👆👆
Norfolk is the only hbcu with legit chops like this. Incredible.
SCV 2016 Tenor Break is sick. That line was full of monsters
Yes!
That whole show is amazing
I was hoping someone would mention that show. Insane line, top to bottom. (No bias lol)
Eric this is absolutely incredible. The tenor features are ok. I’m talking about you playing all of them!!! Haha you’re a legend!
"idk if i can play all these, my chops arent what they used to be" * plays every single feature perfectly *
👆👆👆. 👈👉. 👆👆👆
Knew the 2000 Cadets one was coming. Really an incredible feature
👆👆👆. 👈👉. 👆👆👆
Bro! Super cool that you learned the MDF$ Tenor Feature! This vid definitely gets a Thumbs Up!!!! All these features were RIDICULOUS!
Yesssssssss....the (Norfolk State University's Spartan Legion) Million Dollar Funk Squad is at #1 as usual!!! Thanks for the love!! 💚💛💚💛 I see you MDFS!!!!!
Mad respect for the UNT feature.
It was very similar to the Velvet Knights 1995 tenor feature. I think a lot of those guys marched both.
Yeah! The NSU one made my head explode. It made Tito Puente wake up for a hot minute.
That whole NSU event is a marching arts youtube classic, straight to the hall of fame
That NSU feature is historic. James is insane hahaha
An absolute unit, glad to have marched with you boys 🙏
Bill Bachman is one of the coolest guys ever. I was on tour as a support staff member when he was the tenor tech for Magic in 02.
Also never say you dont have the cops.
Huge props to you for playing all these!
And for the editing. Very impressive!
i never was interested in band until i watched your videos, i may be late but last year was my first year of percussion and i love it! watching your content inspired me to want to practice and train to possibly play professionally, thank you EMC Productions
👆👆👆. 👈👉. 👆👆👆
Do it
I am very flattered that my UP Tenor feature made your list! Love your videos! Wishing you all the best
I was in that NSU crowd lol
I was hoping RCC 09 would be on this list. The entire show was beastly.
The work you do to put out this content is insane! That NSU was my favorite.
I remember watching that '96 UNT show in person. That brings back some memories. Won the '96 HS PASIC and lived 20 minutes from UNT. That was such a crazy show.
As a student in the Norfolk State University band (not in percussion) it’s very cool to see us get recognition on other UA-cam channels.
Best hbcu band in the country imo. The rest need to take notes when y’all perform.
Dude, these line are awesome!!! Great job playing them.
You are a gift to tenor drummers everywhere
Been following for year's man! You are the truth!
Man you’re a beast. So impressive…tons of talent!
"Don't know if I'll be able to play this one guys" immediately into soul ripping sweeps
Your chops are, to quote one of my favorite UA-cam watch reviewers, Nico, GOD-TIER.
Best video so far. Never noticed broken drum 3 in totem. NSU tuned the system blue quads so well
You’re such a god damn monster for playing all of these !! Been watching you forever man I love it love you and good morning 😂
that cadets 05 was my favorite back in the day. I remember learning it my sophomore year in HS and playing it all the time.
RCC 2011’s tenor break is real tasty. Short though. Love this video!!
The Cavaliers 2011 Tenor Feature needs some love! Simple but effective. One of the reasons I got into drum corps!
Always loved the BD tenor solo from Tommy in 1990. Would love to see that one. Thanks for the video.
You’re nuts bro- it’s not lost on me how much work you put into this video! That UNT solo was fuckin nuts ✊
Saw the title and came looking for MDF$, number 1, did not disappoint…BEHOLD
2007 RCC is one of my favorites. Sean Vega 1997 I&E is awesome as well
Nice. I saw RCC 2022 in person, it was insane.
“These guys are MONSTERS” -EMC aka THE BIGGEST MONSTER OF THEM ALL.. great work 💪🏾💯💥⚡️
I have always love the 1993 Cadets tenor feature while charging the front sideline
We had a lot of influence from UNT in Madison Scouts in 1991 when I marched. Jeff Moore and Dan Neimeyer were both alumns. There were parts from the 96 solo we played in 91. Much respect for those folks still to this day! I kind of feel like the old guy yelling "Back in My day"...
I marched the 93 UNT Pasic Tenor line with Dan, Mike Duffy, Quiyan Murphy and Robert Anderson. Similar Tenor that year but 96 was next level. Shouts to Anooj Thacker who's probably the main reason the 96 joint goes down in history. The speeeeeeeeeeed.
Those are some crazy licks! Not sure if I have chops for all that, great job
Aside from the mad ramming, it is also fun to see your real appreciation & excitement of the original performances! Passion behind the skills!
The video editing in the 2000 Cadets feature is no joke. Well done!
And I guess the playing was also good
Cadets 2000 is probably the most fun to watch show of all time, and that drum feature is the best part of it.
👆👆👆. 👈👉. 👆👆👆
It was crazy how every time you said you thought you wouldn't be able to play, you still pulled it off!
Best EMC vid of all time 🙏👑
You are officially goated bro🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I love how you say "I'm gonna try to play this", lol
The 2000 cadets drum feature is one of my favorites of all time. That pulse tenor player is the massive drummer I’ve ever seen in a line, is he a Georgia bulldog football player? Dude, you can play anything.
Sheeeeessssssh you did the Norfolk one real nice.
These are all fire!! Your playing is great too!!
2009 BD Tenor Feature
I used to watch a lot of Bill Bachman youtube videos, but you have taken that spot now lol.
Super job! You got Chops
My instructor was part of the 2009 RCC snare line that show was insane in a total.
Eric !!!! Your my Hero.!!!!
Long time subscriber. First time commenter - you sir are the man.
Very cool man, awesome! Do the 03 UP tenor feature. That was a fun one. Also, Rhythm X 05 or 06 as well.
👆👆👆. 👈👉. 👆👆👆
WOWZERS!!! GREAT JOB!
I just searched up tenor sticks for my tenor pad ima get for my birthday and this just pops up
I love it
This video is fantastic my guy! I'm good friends with Rdavidr. We might have meet one time on tour but let's get together and drum next time your in Richmond, VA!
2000 Cadets has always been my favorite show. It holds a special place for me as it was my freshman year and I was on the snare line and just loved the idea and power of drum corp and it’s high level of skill and musicianship. I’ve played the poor quality video of this show to almost all peers and then students of mine so they know what Drumline can and should be all about.
Imagine the entire MDFS DRUMLINE!!! Check them out!
LOVE IT BRO!!!
lets goooo pulse 2017 tenor feature is gas 🔥🔥
That Cadets feature from 2000 inspired the Jacksonville State University Marching Southerners' 2012 quad break during the drum solo. They played a strikingly similar part.
I was JSU Q' 2016, but never realized that's where '12's break came from.
9:03 Amazing editing
👆👆👆. 👈👉. 👆👆👆
How did you do that video for #4!? Wow, kinda blew my mind a little! The crossing over was so smooth!
Great video, great editing, great sampling of some great tenor lines, and great drumming! How much time to you out into learning all of these beats and putting a video like this together?
Thanks! This video took about 5 days to make.
Hey Eric I love your videos!!! I’ve been a subscriber for a couple years now and I had a question. I’m a tenor player for UA and I was wondering what is your favorite stick brand for college marching band?
I know it’s not really a big solo but the tenor lick that kicks off the Cadets 2005 feature is one of my favorite licks of all time. Would’ve loved to have seen that as an honorable mention.
Buccaneers '09 is my favorite quad break.
Holy smokes and wow. Chopmaster award for sure.
You are actually a living god on drums dude .if I wore a hat 🎩 I would take it off to you .🤘🎼
Catching up on unwatched EMCproductions videos ... under THIS account! With Ads!!! Earning Eric the big bucks!!!
I would love to see you try to play the so below tenor feature when they back up to the catacomb prop
Bravo!!! PHD in tenors
My high school instructor played snare for that 96 UNT A-Line.
Needed the BD 95!!!
Reading Buccaneers 2009 is easily my favorite tenor break of all time.
Cavaliers 2000 please and thank you. Awesome video!
That NSU line is actually insane
Easy by today's standards, but Bayonne '82 tenor feature- Black Market Juggler. BTW your chops are insane.
Carmen Heights Indoor did a really crazy tenor feature in 2019. Maybe you should learn that
Just. Wow!
Also love the 2014 Blue Devils tenor feature.... but who knows, I am a brass guy lol
Idk if I’ll be able to play this… *plays it perfectly*
Infinity 2019 tenor feature was INSANE
I’d love to see the coats 13 feature
Rhythm X 2022 is a really good tenor break I love it
Fun fact about that Cadets 05 feature - the sixth bar, count three, the scrape on the inverted puhduhduh is 3 - 4 of the guy next to you, and then the accent on that is on the drum 3 of the guy next to you.
That’s right. They had a cross-set scrape. I promise you, if you look at it, it’s real. I had the privilege of studying from someone on the 05 Cadets quad line and had this confirmed.
This also makes Cadets 05 the second Cadets quads feature to require three sets of quads to play correctly, after Cadets 2000. I think there might be some flams missing from the 2000 feature too ngl, transcriptions fault not the players fault
YES! Cadets 2005!
Blue coats 2012 is one of my favorites then any of the 2008 dci shows
Check out 1995 VK too. Blew my 16 yr old mind when I saw them on quarterfinals in Buffalo
