What his nominator, D65 family member Celina Varela, said: “Isaiah came to Washington during the pandemic, when attendance and illness issues were pretty stressful. Still, everytime I heard from him he was calm, reassuring, and even joyful. If I have a health- or attendance-related question, Isaiah responds right away, with clear information.”
Mr. Hernandez will be recognized at the March 18 Board of Education meeting.
