You're most welcome!
That's a shame about the sound recorder, it was light activated and I was hoping it would play when you opened the box. But I knew you would have to film as well so I modified it to have a power switch so you could shut it off after you took it out(the batteries are quite difficult to remove.) It wasn't a great mod and I guess I learned my lesson on hot glue reliability in transit.
As far as I could tell, every one of those was in a different language except for the three English ones. I was able to determine what every language was except the other non-Japanese copy of Fashion Designer. I'm curious to know what it is if anyone recognizes it.
The note was typed on a Smith Corona Galaxie Deluxe manual typewriter using a correcting ribbon to get white ink and signed using a Ko-Rec-Type correction tab. It turns out there are not a lot of options for white ink out there.
I think it might be Hebrew.
The one above "Cool Looks"? That literally says "Fashion Designer" and the one below it means "Story Designer"
LOLOLOLOL nice one :D
I think the large box has a doll in it!

Hey Clint,
Have you thought about, at some point, taking a bunch of the offbrand hardware, or hardware from unsuccessful product lines and brands and building a PC around them?
Like, no creative sound cards, only 3rd party weirdness.
No common branded video cards. Use the weird stuff like trident or something.
No Intel branded CPU. Use something like a Cyrix or something else suitably weird, and see what a 90s computer experience was for people who could only afford the more "budget" brands?
I'm sure you have enough for those kinds of parts around for a one-off video like that.
Sounds like an interesting idea for a video or two. Would love to see what they would be capable of when compared to name brand parts that are of the same speed and what not, see if they actually keep up with the name brands.
Cyrix or something else suitably weird? I must be getting old I owned 2 Cyrix systems in the 90's they weren't super uncommon to see then. DEC on the other hand I never owned and still am looking for a working system to get my hands on to see their 64bit chips way back then (AMD may have coined the standard X64 but there were chips out before they thought about using it) read lots about them in the 90's but there cost was just to much for me to own they didn't last long in personal computers/workstations before being bought out by compaq but had been making VAX mainframes before that.
Interesting idea for a build for someone to cover none the less.
So like basically my first PC from 1996 with choice components selected from Computer Shopper Magazine. I think my motherboard was from Russia
@@boblister6174 I built a 64 bit DEC system for work back in the late 90s, the CPU cooler bolted directly to the processor package, via a fairly sizeable bolt. Crazy stuff.

Okay, for about a minute there it looked like someone had sent you a Barbie themed explosive device.
Given the music played, not far off.

I appreciate all of you folks who send this stuff in. It's so cool to see this super random stuff. These are the ONLY unboxing I can watch - feels very communal.
It's unboxing, with classy classic tech, and Clint is just relaxing to listen too
I was semi-disappointed that the recording wasn't Detective Barbie saying "CLINT!"

I love that word "Floptical". I'm gonna start working that into my everyday speak.
That sounds like a floptical idea.
I remember when those were a thing. Another good one (the word, not the malfunction) from that time - "hard drive stiction".
@@CantankerousDave I dunno...it's good, but it's not FLOPTICAL good.

37:05 "Blokken" is indeed a gameshow on Flemish public television, in which 2 people compete to fill lines of a tetris-like game. You get awarded blocks for correct answers... The happy smiling guy on the packaging is the shows host...His sense of humour is kinda unique....
MDM242 Ben Crabbé is not funny.....😂😂😂 - he thinks he is funny and that makes it funny
That Spectrum 128 is immaculate. Never seen a box that nice either. You jammy git.
That unit blew my mind, so rare to see those in such good condition these days, the box especially. I have three 128K toastracks, but still no boxes (just one set of poor condition pollies). It was much easier to obtain Spectrum+ units in original packaging, I have a couple of those which are basically mint.
A year later (and just finally seen this episode) and I still have not seen one as good as that! Even the ones sold for £500+ are not as good...

Don't apologize, you're doing fine. You always create fun entertainment!
When I saw Lost Secret of the Rainforest, I almost cried. That was my favourite game as a child.
I can’t wait to see your video on the Realm of Magic. Your videos are what makes me decided whether a Sims game is worth it.
Clint clearly hasn't heard of the International Dave Conspiracy. We are legion. We are Dave.
I will never complain about having an unboxing video from LGR.
I think it may be "Delta-Vee" rather than "Delta-5", as ∆v is the mathematical symbol for a change in velocity, or "speed".
Robert Johnston And in rocket planes and rockets, remaining fuel is often measured in how much total delta-v you have left.
#scottmanley
Delta-V doesn't symbolize "speed". It's typically used as measure of energy. And before I get any comments saying delta-V is not energy but acceleration - It's not. Acceleration is Delta-V / time.
@@johnfrancisdoe1563Correct. The ∆-velocity, spoken as "delta vee" in pilot speak, is how much energy is required to A) turn to a course that intercepts a designation, and B) power through inertia, including still or reverse movement, to properly engage the course to completion. Of course, aircraft and exterior-atmosphere craft calculate all of this differently due to air drag, or lack of, gravity creep being bad, or good, etc.
I came to say the same thing, it's "Delta-Vee"
Your room brings back memories of some of the brick and mortar computer game stores i went to in the 90's. Those were the good old days of when the games were much smaller and came in boxes much bigger then needed, sometimes with a lot of added paperwork or manuals, sometimes just the disks with a monstrous box.
Anybody else instinctively double take and squint every time you see "DEAR CLINT" in an odd font?

I hope one day you find what I'd consider to be the holy grail of oddware, it was a keyboard that came out at either the tag end of the 1980s or the start of the 1990s. The fun bit was that each individual key had a liquid crystal display unit built into it. The idea was that each and every key could be reconfigured to display any other key, though why someone would need to do that was never explained.

This must feel like Christmas everytime you do this. The moment it starts to be boring I would be worried lol.
Spaceward Ho! was an amazing game for me when I was about 10. The version I had It had hot seat multi-player, and you could print out maps. Which meant that you and your best friend could have a real-world war room where you decided exactly which fleets to send after Christine's stronghold, which turn they would arrive, who would get the colony ship there so everyone could refuel and move against the next planet in her cluster/arm of the galaxy/etc.
It was not boxed, and did not come from big-name Broderbund, it was a couple Mac floppies attached to a manual. It was v3.0 or 4.0 IIRC. There were no refueling ships (thus the colony ship was required to get your ships off the planet). There may have been dreadnoughts but I don't think there actually were.
Those Barbie games are in English, Spanish, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese and Danish.
Simon Wentworth the Danish one ought to be a redheaded mermaid.
I'm from the Netherlands. We understand the northern Flemish Belgian people and do receive a network or two from them. My dad always used to watch Blokken with Ben Krabbé. It's a louzy TV quiz in which they play the easiest variant of Tetris you could imagine, with even easier trivial questions (of which some are sponsored I think, 'cause when asked "Name the movie from Disney with Lions", after answering he'd promote that the new version is in cinema's 'soon or right now'). And yes, it's really cringy to see that some people still don't know how to control the tetriminos.
There was Game Shop made by Microsoft?

As a David, I am here to tell you this is true.
We are going to form a cult called "The Brotherhood Of Davids".
We shall all wear a singular packing peanut as a symbol of membership, and wood-grain shall be our covet.
Being on lockdown currently came across your unboxing videos. some trips down memory lane! A real shame the sun workstation didn't survive the posting to you back in a previous video. If it'd have had been one of the older ones it may have survived, my father worked for Sun and I grew up with lots of them in the house as well as every version of the pc from xt to pentium and a number of quirky systems such as the Oric systems and Toshiba MSX which came with a awesome sound cassette tape with the advertisement sound effects on.
A tip for "Spaceward Ho!" Don't leave biological ships in orbit around populated planets, they will eat the population.
Intriguing... :/
And drink all the water. Note what Martian ships did to their own planet before arriving at Earth.
This was super enjoyable. Thank you for sharing with me

THE RICOH!!! in 2001 I had to use one for work. I have tried to explain it to people since, and also to find one for myself for a long time and never did. If I can remember correctly it could connect to wifi, and just used FTP settings to upload pictures to our intranet server. It was a lot of fun. I seem to remember it having other PDA options as well, like a calendar. But its been 18 years. Man, that was the coolest tech to me, when it was handed to me me to figure out and use.

Holy cow! Seeing that Spaceward Ho game brought me back to middle 90s when I played the hell out of it on my Macintosh LCII! Loved the game! It was pretty much my first strategy game ever! First space strategy for sure. A few years before Master of Orion 2 took my heart haha
My man! Living the dream. Best of luck on the road, and we all here hope you have a great time.
That Gizmos and Gadgets Super Solvers game was my favorite growing up!
Anyone here want to see LGR do a video on Wisdom Tree?
31:12 I can sense a future tech tales on ViaVoice as that has also been memed like Bonzi Buddy with it's text-to-speech pencil mascot and it's constant cutting of anything it detects that isn't a word, leading to hilarious results.
Also, SUPA MARIO TWO! WAHOO!
Tip for the SNES controller adapter: get a 3D printed enclosure for it (I would suggest to use ABS plastic), super cheap if you can find someone in your area with a 3D printer.
Hey Clint, Belgian potato here! Blokken is a long running trivia show here in belgium. It works as follows: The presenter asks a question and the 2 participants have to try press a button first and then try answering the question right. If they do, they get 2 tetrominos and the goal is to get as many points by both answering questions right and forming lines. it goes a bit more in-depth than that, but that's the gist of it. Insanely popular here
