Hey gixx. New sub here really like your videos. Im taking my msf course next month and plan on getting that exact bike. Those maintenance videos are going to help out alot. Being a shorter person did you lower the bike any or just deal with it and tip toe around. What do i need to be aware of being on the shorter side. Thanks.

+HE- MAN Hey buddy, first off thanks for subscribing and watching! I didnt lower this bike at all. One of the things I liked about this model brand of sport bike is that its lower than most sport bikes. I believe the seat height is like 31.9? This was better than my old 2004 gixxer that was 32.5 seat height I believe. On this bike if i really stretch out I can flat foot it but on my old gixxer I had to tip toe it.
I wouldnt recommend lowering a bike if you really dont have to. It throws off the geometry and specs set up to make the bike handle properly. So far on this bike I havent had too many issues with the height but coming from my old gixxer and being 5' 4" I can say this....
Be careful stopping on uneven roads, like the ones that slope down to one side or have dips. In those cases you will have to judge which side of the road is higher and get read to slide your butt to that side to put your foot down. Also when it comes to moving around by foot you will want to make sure you have some strong legs since your not able to put your foot all the way down and get more leverage. I think the biggest part though is parking. If your gonna park somewhere that is inclined in towards the parking block you may want to just come up to it and park backwards. That way your not struggling to roll back out of the space on tip toes. Also along with that mind the gravel cause if your using your legs and tip toes to move out of a space and theirs gravel, you will easily slip and drop the bike.
I hope this helps. Its all I could think of right now off the top of my head. Good luck on your MSF course. Make sure to really study those low speed skills and turns. I think the best tip I can give to new riders is when your doing low speed turns, NEVER use the front brakes. Its a hard habit to break but trust me. I was a newbie rolling into a gas station pump. I came in to hot and panicked and grabbed the front brake while in turn and went down. Very embarrassing but it happens. Anyway, good luck and ride safe!

Another great video bruddah! I have a 2014 Gixxer 600. I've been working on modding it. First mod was the fender eliminator kit from Gixxerboys ... thanks to your how to on dat! lol. Keep up the great content man! Check out my channel if you like. I did an install vid on tank grip pads you might like. Big improvement in my opinion - but not sure with your paint scheme.

+MotoMiyagi Thanks man and I'm glad to hear that! I'll totally check your channel out! I tried to make a video on installing my tank pad but it turned out to be a frustrating mess so I didnt post it. The hardest part was taking off the ugly warning labels and then lining up the three piece pad.... ugh. It came out decent though. Now I know... use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the labels and then remove them.

Tales From The Gixx lol, I had the exact same issue with the labels! I didn't use the heat gun either, ended up having to use goo gone on them.
