Kinda wild to think I was just randomly sitting in some room for a couple days in China, making this track for fun. And it ended up being one of the most listened tracks I made. I guess art can be weird that way. When you don't try and don't have expectations, it comes spontaneously pure. When you don't care and just do, everything might come at you in later time. When you don't try to cater to anything but your own taste at the time, it maintains its natural form and perhaps that's what people are naturally attracted to - paradoxically giving you what you thought you should work really hard for specifically, through many "rules", peers, and cultural expectations of the time. If there's a lesson in creativity I've learned over the many years, it is that. Be yourself, cater to yourself - and develop yourself. Because there might be a story, a body of art, some kind of work, that is unseen by anyone else in this world. There is nobody with the exact configuration as you. Work on your craft and show yourself - blunt, brave, with some evolving discernment. You might never know where it will lead in the end, unless you try. One day, you might be just as surprised as I am today.
