Everything works so well here! The textures and colors are beautiful. Adding the birds was a realy good move, even if they are the most realistic out of all the pieces they add something magical to the sculpture 😍
Very beautiful, the end result of just the whale on its own reminded me of those ancient stone artifacts where you can see a bit of the old paint still on it. Details of the feathers were also very nice.

I love the textures on your whale! We've been resin printing and trying to get into learning to make our own files to print rather than all the public domain stuff. But painting them is still fun.

As an artist I fully understand the need to dabble in other mediums. I mostly do digital art but I crave many different crafts and other traditional art it makes me feel burnt out is I don't get to do it. You're super talented and I'll keep supporting you. Was so excited to see you posted at all. 💚
This is absolutely *gorgeous*, I can LITERALLY see the whale swimming through the clouds in motion, like a Treasure Planet-esque skypirate sort of movie. I'd love to see more of your other art, if you have other projects you do/have done! I was a little surprised you didn't go for quilt-bating for the clouds, but I think that's more because somehow it felt like that would be where you started building up a doll in an art doll video.
This video, and the sculpture, brought a profound sense of calm and comfort. I love this whale, and could see it as a benevolent deity, floating along with its dove messengers, sending warm winds to the cold and cool breezes to the hot.
Honestly I loved the use of mixed media on this project, it really tapped into the artistic side and not doing the typical whale print and paint then covering it with resin. I think the clouds came out wonderfully, great idea going with the 3D version and the bids were a fantastic add.
Think this turned out beautifully. The craft goblin in me is happy :) Glad you branched out and tried something else. Helps to keep from burning out on a single type of craft. Keep up the good work and don't forget to hydrate.
The resin clouds look so amazing since the rest of it is solid too I wouldn't have thought of that, I'd have kept playing around with fluffy materials, you're genius

I love pretty much anything art related like this, so this is great. It's also cool to see creators, especially ones I enjoy, doing different things they might enjoy.
The piece really came together. Sometimes it is hard to change your idea for a piece, but I try to look at it as seeing a different perspective as the piece progresses instead of abandoning an idea. It usually turns out for the best in the end.

I loved this video!!! My dad was a sculptor in Hawaii in the 90s, and he made lots of whales. I used to watch him (he worked in clay or foam that was then cast in metal) and watching the difference between how he used to make the same creature that you’re making was FASCINATING.

I love this piece so very much! It reminds me very much of the flying whales in Fantasia 2000 from Disney but with a much more ethereal aesthetic. You're so right whales are so under appreciated. Whales have been one of my favorite marine mammals since I was a little girl and this art you've made just gives me so much joy. Love you're work!

If you ever want to make something similar, maybe try making it a hanging ornament using fishing wires, so that the whale and the birds would gently rotate --could even make it a lamp or one of those wind chimes :D Also, Ellen is crazy good. Been following her on instagram for ages and I'm always in awe of her sculptures. Just crazy beautiful.

i had to trust the process after you drybrushed with white, and i'm glad that I did. I am amazed with this! It makes me think of a magnetic diorama where birds were floating around a mountain sculpture with becuase they were coated with positive and negative magnets and so was the mountain. I love it!
