I had a '68 Z28 in high school. You have no idea how many folks have no idea of the Mighty Mouse 302 Chevy made a 307 and Ford made a 302. I would then explain that the Chevy 302 was limited to the Z29 exclusively through '69 and was switched to a 350 in 1970. I would just smile and tell them "one day it will hit you".
My first car. 1981 Z28. Bought it in 87 with 19 000 km on the clock. A darker blue with the darker blue stripe package on it. 350/4spd that I poured about 30 grand into it over the next few years.. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane!!!!
They did it didn't like it. They just didn't have any power and it didn't take off and they were Bumblebee slow driving garbage that why they build shit like that I would never know
My friend had one almost just like it. This was in '94. We met the original owner's wife and she said "That car used to catch 4th gear." We said "It still does!"
Are you serious So she likes low horse power cars The smell like shit because a burn rich It never seemed to be able to do anything correctly Yeah there's no horsepower that fucking car And the weight is horrendous Till you basically got a crappy horsepowder race awake ratio I have a quarrel 250 horse power. 79 Z28s with original manual Borg Warner T 10s are very difficult to find. The reason being is that CA couldnt sell the manual transmissions with the 373 rear end. They were all automatics. With a 342 rear end I believe. However, 79 Camaro are a dime a dozen. It was America's most mass produced car ever. Just the standard 79 Camaro, you can still pick one up in halfway decent shape for under 2k. They are everywhere.
@Patrick Caron all I hear is I'm childish and broke and wish I could afford a Camaro or any decent car for that fashion the man said he wanted to build one I told him to do it there are plenty out there I purchased this car from someone who gave me a ride as a kid f*** you
