Honestly, you would be better off doing just a US tour. It would be a lot cheaper for you, and it would make life a whole lot easier. Get big enough in the states and do multiple tours there, and THEN you will more than likely get the opportunity to go on a world tour down the road. You don't need to go on a world tour. Not at your current state.

I've been homeless with no help from others and it sucks. And doing the thing you love is hard work and will render you poor, you just gotta keep at it with a strong attitude or you will give up.

If you were homeless, you would understand that you would formulate plans and strategies to find a way to do normal, everyday things that you once did in a home. Anyway, I merely posted a comment for Richie to read and feel that he is not alone with being broke. It's a situation that isn't too great if you're an adult and live alone.
Why are some people assuming that because somebody has access to some kind of device, such as a phone or a tablet or computer, that they aren't homeless? You know that the government will give you a phone if you qualify right? And that libraries have internet access amd computers for people to use for free? Some shelters do as well. And if you sit close enough to a McDonald's that has free WiFi, as most of them seem to in urban and suburban areas at least around here, you can enjoy the free Wi-Fi, and if you can afford a cup of coffee, even if you have to panhandle the couple of bucks that it takes, you can enjoy the Wi-Fi inside for a while. A lot of people owned things before they became homeless and still have them after they become homeless. In fact they're going to take extra careful care of them because they don't have the ability to buy something new if it breaks. I think some people are really speaking from a place of privilege, and I don't say that in this some kind of social justice warrior or far-left kind of way, but some really are speaking from a place of privilege if they assume that everybody who has some kind of device to communicate on the internet isn't really poor. We don't live in some 3rd world country where electricity is scarce or even internet accesses scarce. People often have a home that they own or apartments that they rent for a long time. People have "regular" lives. In the sense that they have families and jobs and a home. And then something bad happens, like really high medical bills or they lose their job when they were just living paycheck-to-paycheck.

But he's going on tour so the hope is the money he spent preparing for the tour, which was his savings, is an INVESTMENT and that he will earn it back with extra. He's not destitute. He planned for a long time to spend that much money, but now he has no reserve that he had built up. Why does he need to fall back on his degree if he is about to go on tour and potentially make his investment back?

He's taking a big risk with this tour, and if it doesn't turn out to be the investment he hopes it wi, he might actually go broke. Also, he is obviously distressed and sharing his feelings with those he sees as his friends; trying to make him feel bad doesn't do anyone any good, he is STILL in his situation and in his mindset. She sold her house and moved into an apartment only a year ago and that house money is almost gone because my brother had a mental breakdown after 6 years over the high expectations/expenses of university. Wow I totally agree. Even with a college education you can't get a job easily. And when you get the job you have to adjust to that salary to make a living. What youtubers don't understand is that their videos are a part time job, it is not a" child support" for life. Patreon and youtuve collect money for their content, it is their salary. They have to adjust their lifestyle to that salary. But youtubers act as if viewers owe them supporting them for life. As someone who has toured in the past I can tell you this: this is not a bottom figure for the cost of a tour. He is putting on a tour that a band on a label would provide plus he has a whole show involved, to each his own I guess. It was definitely smart of him to invest in his own vehicle and trailer. We slept in the van because hotels are expensive. Touring was the best time in my life hands down. Social, if you see this and you don't have it already GET AAA BEFORE YOU LEAVE, and make sure its AAA Gold, you never know when you are going to need it and it will save your life if you ever so. I also recommend finding or piecing together a breakdown kit (jumper cables or jump box, high quality flashlight, first aid kit, tire inflation device that plugs into the car NO FIX A FLAT because you will ruin the sensors in your wheels, etc.)

Why are some people assuming that because somebody has access to some kind of device, such as a phone or a tablet or computer, that they aren't homeless? You know that the government will give you a phone if you qualify right? And that libraries have internet access amd computers for people to use for free? Some shelters do as well. And if you sit close enough to a McDonald's that has free WiFi, as most of them seem to in urban and suburban areas at least around here, you can enjoy the free Wi-Fi, and if you can afford a cup of coffee, even if you have to panhandle the couple of bucks that it takes, you can enjoy the Wi-Fi inside for a while.
A lot of people owned things before they became homeless and still have them after they become homeless. In fact they're going to take extra careful care of them because they don't have the ability to buy something new if it breaks. I think some people are really speaking from a place of privilege, and I don't say that in this some kind of social justice warrior or far-left kind of way, but some really are speaking from a place of privilege if they assume that everybody who has some kind of device to communicate on the internet isn't really poor. We don't live in some 3rd world country where electricity is scarce or even internet accesses scarce. People often have a home that they own or apartments that they rent for a long time. People have "regular" lives. In the sense that they have families and jobs and a home. And then something bad happens, like really high medical bills or they lose their job when they were just living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Startastic Time first, let me say that if you are using your own life as an example I hope your situation gets better. Secondly, it's important to remember that we don't see his entire life, just what he shows online. He has a lot of stuff and has been a lot of places, but that doesn't mean he's been rich or is rich now. Someone can have a houseful of things and still be in financially hard times. He's taking a big risk with this tour, and if it doesn't turn out to be the investment he hopes it wi, he might actually go broke. Also, he is obviously distressed and sharing his feelings with those he sees as his friends; trying to make him feel bad doesn't do anyone any good, he is STILL in his situation and in his mindset. Again, if you are going through a tough time, i hope you come out of it soon. But don't take your frustration out on someone who is clearly making himself vulnerable.

She sold her house and moved into an apartment only a year ago and that house money is almost gone because my brother had a mental breakdown after 6 years over the high expectations/expenses of university. He had to move in with us too. I'm now in between jobs trying to get any job I can just to support myself and my family, all while trying to figure out where to go from here. We also now have to try to find a smaller apartment as we can no longer afford the one we're in. We'll be lucky if we're not on the goddamn streets by this time next year. But yeah, you're totally broke.

Wow I totally agree. Even with a college education you can't get a job easily. And when you get the job you have to adjust to that salary to make a living. What youtubers don't understand is that their videos are a part time job, it is not a" child support" for life. Patreon and youtuve collect money for their content, it is their salary. They have to adjust their lifestyle to that salary. But youtubers act as if viewers owe them supporting them for life. "hey guys I spend it all, give me more money so that I can keep living the way I want to". One thing is paying for the content (which is totally fair) but a different thing is paying for the lifestyle this dude wants to maintain.

So many of these youtubers are so used to making 10-50k a video when they have any trouble at all they ask people like us, who don't even make that in a year, for our grocery money to help them out. Aww I really hope your situation improves, I find that though the bad times in life feel like they will last forever at the time, they usually don't, everyone has ups and downs, in fact when your financial stable in the future it will be partly due to the fact that you learnt the value of money very early in life and how to scrimp and save which is a lesson Richie has obviously never had to learn, IV no idea how he managed to waste so much money on crap, part of me thinks he's over exaggerated a bit, but like plenty of others have said it's possible to spend only a couple of thousand to go on tour if you cut out some comforts and luxuries like most artists have to because of course 90% of artists when they are just starting out are not rich people and barely have anything to spend on what they do but they still manage. As someone who has toured in the past I can tell you this: this is not a bottom figure for the cost of a tour. He is putting on a tour that a band on a label would provide plus he has a whole show involved, to each his own I guess. It was definitely smart of him to invest in his own vehicle and trailer. We slept in the van because hotels are expensive. Touring was the best time in my life hands down.
Social, if you see this and you don't have it already GET AAA BEFORE YOU LEAVE, and make sure its AAA Gold, you never know when you are going to need it and it will save your life if you ever so. I also recommend finding or piecing together a breakdown kit (jumper cables or jump box, high quality flashlight, first aid kit, tire inflation device that plugs into the car NO FIX A FLAT because you will ruin the sensors in your wheels, etc.)
