Glad you guys still find the fun and humor of this trip in light of the bad weather and "blood-stained" hotel room. I visited the Smithsonian years ago and it's an incredible place but I'm surprised the crowds have gotten bigger.
It was crazy packed! But we were there on a weekday so I suppose it could have been more crowded due to school tour groups. Maybe it would have been quieter on the weekend.
Presently living here in Alexandria, Virginia since January. We were stationed over seas in Germany lastly. People are very friendly, and welcoming. I was able to use the free Dash bus system and metro to travel to Dulles airport. Aldi is here and a great place to shop. Take advantage of all the free activities and sightseeing It never gets old !!
The metro system in the DC area is pretty great! I think if I lived in that area, I wouldn’t bother driving into DC and would always take transit…so much less hassle! 🙂

In 2019 we stayed at Days Inn on Connecticut Ave NW - close enough to the tourist sites (Zoo and Smithsonian was a hit with kids). In your opinion, what time of year is best to visit the Dallas area? I think we might melt if the temps are too hot, but also know that you guys can have some pretty rough winters as well.
@rayejin best time to visit is anytime 😊 seriously though I would pick early fall. Though the weather is good right now, today, sometimes it can turn during this time. Tornadoes, etc. Summer is arhhhhh and winter is a maybe cold maybe not. Fall so far, I find, is good on weather visiting people have mostly left the area and there are so many places you can visit without having to wait too long. A reminder we have our state fair going on late September to early October. That's fun too. There's the botanical gardens, downtown, the grassy knoll, school depository, surrounding towns with even more things to do and history...so much history (I've been to Mineral Wells and passed by their haunted house where you can stay...so cool) You can visit Glen Rose where it's a dinosaur park, etc. I could go on and on. And so many Bucees! Let me know and I can give you more places to visit. Forgot to add: we have Carrollton, Texas. Korea Town. Wonderful places to eat and an H-Mart for Raye 😊

아들이 메릴랜드에 약 8년 살아 워싱턴DC 버지니아쪽으로 자주 다녔습니다.
미국이란 나라 하도 넓어 죽을때까지 수도인 워싱턴DC한번 못가보고 죽는다 했습니다.
주변 구경할 곳 정말 많습니다.

No way!! Honestly, we were a bit surprised by that H-Mart...it had a lot of non-Korean products compared to other H-Marts we've been to.

The hotel 😭 the other day I saw the sell disposable bed sheets and I think that's something I need for when I travel.
I usually bring at least my own pillowcase! Hotel sheets gross me out even in "nice" places hahahaha

The best part was that the toilet didn't work and when I asked to change rooms, the manager told me if I wanted a working toilet I shouldn't stay at a motel hahaha

What a wonderful video! My goal is to go visit the Smithsonian. Hopefully soon. Here at DFW airport we have the lights above that shows if there is a car spot available. I believe in one of the malls too. You need to head to this area. We have lots to see. Thanks for taking us around! ❤
In your opinion, what time of year is best to visit the Dallas area? I think we might melt if the temps are too hot, but also know that you guys can have some pretty rough winters as well.
@rayejin best time to visit is anytime 😊 seriously though I would pick early fall. Though the weather is good right now, today, sometimes it can turn during this time. Tornadoes, etc. Summer is arhhhhh and winter is a maybe cold maybe not. Fall so far, I find, is good on weather visiting people have mostly left the area and there are so many places you can visit without having to wait too long. A reminder we have our state fair going on late September to early October. That's fun too. There's the botanical gardens, downtown, the grassy knoll, school depository, surrounding towns with even more things to do and history...so much history (I've been to Mineral Wells and passed by their haunted house where you can stay...so cool) You can visit Glen Rose where it's a dinosaur park, etc. I could go on and on. And so many Bucees! Let me know and I can give you more places to visit. Forgot to add: we have Carrollton, Texas. Korea Town. Wonderful places to eat and an H-Mart for Raye 😊

미국을 관광으로 여러번 가봤지만 단체로 움직이고 안전한 곳만 돌아다녀 안전문제는 그다지 신경쓰지 않았는데, 레이와 진의 여행기가 참으로 도움이 됩니다.
언젠가 혼자 미대륙 횡단여행을 하려했는데 안전이 무척 신경쓰이는군요. 비가 새는곳을 수리도 안하고 게다가 90불이라니...헐, ㅜㅜㅜ
미국보다 차라리 캐나다 횡단여행이 여러모로 나을것 같습니다. 저에겐 안전이 가장 으뜸입니다.
땅이 넓어서 패키지 여행이 유리할수도 있어요 ㅎㅎ 다만 자동차 여행도 참 매력적이죠!
@@rayejin 그런데 짐칸 후사면 유리도 박살내고 털어간다는게 또한 허리색을 차야한다는게 도무지 한국에선 결코 잃어나지 않는 일이라서 ...저같이 겁많은 여행객들은 배낭여행이 즐겁지가 않네요. ㅜㅜ
저는 93년도인가.. 미국 삼촌이 계시는 시카고 방문때.. 항공? 박물관 하고 이런 자연사 박물관 갔을때 정말 눈이 휘둥그레 졌었어요 ㅎㅎ

미국은 정말 박물관이 잘 되어있더라고요 ㅎㅎ 심지어 무료인 곳들도 많아요!
메릴랜드 버지니아는 초봄에 비오는 날이 많습니다.

거긴 뉴욕에 있는 박물관으로 알고있는데, 미국엔 이런 큰 박물관들이 엄청 많아요 ㅎㅎ
