😂😂I know right Jefyne. That’s what I love about being in Liberia. I can rest from all the hands on chores we do here… enjoy myself and give somebody an income at the same time.
You made that just for you & Jr because that’s not enough. I’d need 3x more than that for my household😀. That looks delicious & for some reason it reminds me of Ma’s cooking back in the day, in Mn.
Hey, this looks very good. However, I didn’t see the spices you added to it and when? And how did you prepare the parboiled meat and what spices please? Thank you so much
Hi Jess. I added the spices and seasonings in the description section of this video. As for how you prepare the parboiled meats, you just used any meats of your choice(chicken, beef, pork, smoke turkey, etc..) wash them well and put in a pot. Add chopped onions, chicken base, and spices to your comfort level. Add water to barely cover meats and cook on medium to low heat. Taste and add more seasoning and or chicken base as needed. Cook for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes or until meats are done without drying out all the liquid. Empty content in your fried green, mixed all together and let it all cook down till most of liquid is gone. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching😊
You said another way to cut the greens is to wash it and rub it together? Could you tell me more about that? Because I need a easier way to fry it I have too much
To rub the greens, you need to cut most of the stems off. After you wash it, take a bunch of the wet greens in between your hands and rub and pull the greens. You can also put washed greens in ziplock bag and put it in the freezer m. When frozen, pound the frozen greens while still in the bag to break it up.
I'm not Liberian but my boyfriend he's from Liberia 🇱🇷. I don't like him going out there asking those Liberian females to make him some African soup. That's what I'm here to learn tho Next time can you please put the meat name in the decryption down if you are not going to say it in the video because I don't know all the meat y’all been using. By the way, I like how you make it 😍
Sounds good. I will put common meats we use in the description right now. Good for you on learning how to cook some of what he likes to eat. Potato Greens is an all time favorite of most Liberians. Substitute chopped Spinach when you can’t get potato greens.
Fry the greens and onions for at least 15 minutes. After you add the meats and stew, cook for an additional 20-30minutes on medium heat. Hope this helps 😊
