I moved away from the Jacksonville and Brunswick area. After the last hurricane I experienced, two weeks of no power, lost all freezer food along with my mom, I cooked a massive feast before the food went bad, no use to waste good food. Major BBQ time. But thank you for what you do, even if you get nothing but pull tabs, you are cleaning metals off the beach. I cut my foot on metal in Jacksonville Beach. I really do appreciate it.
Hi Kelly , I do pull a lot of junk off the beaches , but we find some nice stuff too. Sometimes we are able to return items as well . I lost power for two weeks a few years ago. I had a portable generator and even tho power was limited I was able to keep my food cold by running it now and then . So sorry to hear you lost your Mom . Thank you for watching .
Wednesday I am heading to Hilton Head then Myrtle Beach. I miss the ocean so much. Thanks for taking us along, should be lots of great stuff all over your area for a while. Good to see Your safe.
Don't think I would follow someone digging on a beach for an hour, but I watched in my phone!!! And I enjoyed it to the end!!!! Especially enjoyed all your finds and the fact that the were so old, haven't seen any coins fron the forties in decades . Will differently stop by again!
Enjoyed the video. I never knew the amount of damage a hurricane could leave. Glad you are okay and got to go searching again, sorry about the damage to your place. Weird finds but good finds . Hang in there!!
Hi Patricia , they can be real bad . Some people lost everything . We have good low tides for my schedule this week . I will be out there swinging the coil . Thanks for watching .
Hi Brian, Great hunt. I really enjoyed watching you find all that old stuff. I also wanted to say that I like that you record all the beeps and tones that your machine makes. It makes the videos more interesting. Good luck with everything that's going on down there. I'll see you on the next one.
Hi Silent gamer , I record every target I dig. It makes for a lot of editing , but I never miss live digging something good. Low tides all week in the afternoon when I have time to go. Fingers crossed we find some cool stuff. Thanks for watching .
The storm has stripped so much away. And blocked all the city storm drains with sand and debris. I hope everyone you know are safe. And you are able to help any friends or family affected.
War nickels, mercury dimes, wheaties, Canadian silver, pull tabs id keep, jewelry, ancient jewelry, that lead button is probably super old. Holy smokes what a day! Amazing to see the water damage all that stuff. Hope your fixes on your house aren’t too bad. Awesome hunt.
Hi Spicey , I have not done any repairs yet . I need the water to go down in the lake to work on the boathouse and I need a roofer to work on the big house . Those guys are in high demand right now . lol Check out Jimmy Crossbones UA-cam video of the destruction of the seawall in south Daytona . I will be out this week hunting the low tide . More on the way , thanks for watching .
I used to live in daytona beach when I was younger. I also had a metal detector here where I live, but I gave it to my grandaughter's father. Thank you for the video!
Thanks for taking me digging, it was fun! That little hook with the spookie face is intriguing. It's wild that the button still had thread attached. In my head, that button popped off a pirate's cuff. 🏴☠I hope life is getting back in order for you. Take care.
Pretty sure that little skull like thing is a piece of navel jewelry (bellybutton piercing). If it's cheap material it would start to break down in salt water. Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
@@travisbolton99 Thanks! It's been driving me crazy! I gave up searching images and my friends were entirely over me rattling on and on about this "ancient artifact that a Roma passed to a pirate". That was my story and I stuck to it. 😂
Hello from Tennessee my friend. I’m so sorry about the damage to your house and your boat house. I’m glad you and your wife and dogs are safe. I enjoyed the video but I couldn’t believe all the damage at the beach. The good stuff is at the beach waiting on you and you will find it. Stay safe my friend.
Hi Steve , check out Jimmy Crossbones UA-cam channel for the video of the destruction of the seawall in south Daytona . Its crazy . Going to be an interesting week ahead with the afternoon low tides . I will get everything fixed and be back to normal around here soon . Thanks for watching .
Hi D Mar , it will take a little time but things will be back to normal before too long . Thank you for the prayers . They can do wonders. Thanks for watching .
Glad that you are okay and you fared well with only minimal damage. Seems to me like the ocean dug out and went back in time; at least it looks that way with the old wooden pilings and the coins found. Hope you get out again before everything gets sanded in. Happy Hunting!!!
Hi Caribbean Coinz , the palm tree posts have to be very old because if you look at old pictures of Daytona from the 1920s and before the cement sea wall is there . I think the beach is at a very low level to expose the palm tree seawall . We have afternoon low tides all this week and I will be out there. Thanks for watching .
Hi Florida Flip Flops , you're welcome . You guys got hit hard by the storm . I hope you made out OK . What a shame to see all the destruction done by the storm . I hope things get back to normal for you soon . I thank you for watching ,
I'm thankful that you are okay. Our hurricanes were very stressful before and during. "After" was a lot of hard work! We got hit by Hurricanes Rita, Ike, Harvey, and Laura. It was hard for me to concentrate. Overload feelings for sure. I love that you found a buffalo nickel. The skull jewelry thing is my favorite. Thanks for sharing. I always look forward to your videos and appreciate your calm demeanor, ethics, and etiquette. Be safe, best wishes, and God bless you.
Hi Anita , this one was bad but I have been through worse in the past . They are never fun and the clean up after is always a chore . Keeping an eye on Julia now. It is hitting Nicaragua this weekend . If it turns north it will be in the gulf of Mexico . I thank you for the nice comment . Thanks for watching , more on the way .
My aunt is on the west coast. She wasn't there. but her place caught some of the surg. I m in East Carolina just some wind and rain. No big deal. Glad to see you out and about. We're passing by Sunday
Hello 👋 I'm sad you're having to deal with so much, thank you very much for stopping long enough to take a detecting break. Your right, the beach took a beating. Lots of money going on for sure, congrats on the more significant coins. Give our best to your wife. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 for ya both.
You said it was going to be a good video and you delivered! Those are some cool finds! I was hoping you would hit a gold pirate coin or too! When you said it cleared the sand out I had no idea how much it had moved! Good luck going forward just be careful moving around with all the damage and flooding! Take care and stay safe!
Hi Raymond , I was afraid we were going to get hit hard by a storm because the beach was so sanded in most of the summer . Natures way to prepare for the storm. I still have a few videos from before the storm that I bumped the release date . Waiting to see how this weeks low tides treat us to decide when to get back to the numbered videos . Thanks for watching .
There's got to be some valuable coins and jewelry lower in that sand being that 2 feet of the sand was stripped away from the beach, I would be out there as much as I could while it's like that before other detectorists find all those old treasure's from years gone bye. Wonderful video.
Hi Bill , I would say there was about six feet of sand removed . We were sanded in bad before the storm . Not much access to the beach with most all the walkways washed away . Low tide in the afternoon all this week . I will be out there hunting . More on the way . Thanks for watching .
That is for sure a war nickel. Halfway through 1942-1945 are the war nickels. 35% silver. Nice find. I’m in Tampa. We dodged a HUGE bullet here. Daytona got hit quite hard. I can’t believe the devastation south of Tampa. Unreal. Keep up the good hunting. I can’t get out like I used to do it’s fun watching others.
Hi Nick , the west side of the state got hit hard . You guys did dodge a bullet in Tampa . Low afternoon tides next week and I will be out there swinging . More videos on the way . Thanks for watching .
You sure got your share of damage my stepsister lives in Melbourne she got flooding no structural damage and everyone there is okay just like you Thank God.
Hi Wes , you had it bad down there. It may take a while to get everything back up and back to normal . I guess some things are gone for good. Hurricanes are no joke . May God bless you and get everything back to normal asap . Stay safe and thanks for watching .
@@idigdaytona4478 thank you and 2 of the 3 spot where i used to meet up with some friends are not on the map anymore with no plans to rebuild. But thankfully from what i know everyone was ok damage is repairqble but lives are not. God bless and yall stay safe out there
Wow you did really good hopefully it will be get better soon. The hurricane really destroyed so much! Stay safe. Happy treasure hunting next time you go.
Hi Joanne , yes it did . Jimmy Crossbones has a video showing the seawall destruction on the beach . Its amazing what the power of water can do . Thanks for watching .
@@idigdaytona4478 It breaks my heart to see so much destruction from this hurricane so many lives lost because of it. I've been living down here over 20 years and it still breaks my heart. Florida stay strong! 🇺🇸 I'll watch his video . Stay safe. Happy treasure hunting!
Hi Ga Mad Mike , I have videos from before the storm that were scheduled for release that I changed the release date on and some from after the storm as well . I am tempted to put out more videos but I may need them for when its slow in the winter months . Not sure yet what I will do . Thanks for watching .
A nice collection of old coin fines there! Terri and I need to work harder on some of the older beaches, I guess! The variety of old/new stuff you find is always great. See you on the beaches!
Hi Scott , hope to see you out there . Its hard to find a way down to the beaches with most of the stairs washed out . Afternoon low tides all next week. Thanks for watching .
Thank you for the video! I was really curious as to what things looked like and what you'd find. I imagine the beach would have looked a lot different had the hurricane come in from the opposite direction?? Nice finds on the coins! I bet there are more to come (and hopefully some old jewelry)!!! I'm glad you were spared a lot of damage. Good luck on the upcoming finds!!
Hi Sandra , you're welcome . The way the storm spins the wind changes directions as it moves by . Had it come in from the east there would have been storm surge along with it . Jimmy Crossbones UA-cam channel has a video showing the destruction of the seawall in south Daytona . Check it out. Its crazy what the storm did . I will be out there this week for the low tides. More video on the way . Thanks for watching .
Hey Brian glad to see you out on the beach after that crazy storm. I kind of figured you'd be finding lots of coins. Just wish you could have found a little more jewelry. Very sorry to hear about the loss of life and property there in Florida man those hurricanes a r e pretty devastating that's for sure. As always take care of yourself brian.
Hi Danny , the ocean seems to have stole the jewelry off the beach for now . May find some next week with the afternoon low tides . Thanks for watching .
Thanks for posting. I had a Minelab CTX-3030 for 3 years and hated it. Numbers always bouncing all over the place. Other 3030 owners looked at it and said theirs didn't do that. Minelab said call dealer. Dealer said call minelab. Wasn't happy with their lack of customer service. I have a Minelab Gold Monster 1000 and GPZ-7000 and never had any problems.
Hi Cowboy Geologist, I have never used the CTX-3030 . Some people love them. I had an issue with my pinpoint mode . I sent it in to the service center and they gave me a new replacement . I think it took a week . I can't complain about the service I had with Minelab. Thanks for watching .
Nice hunt Brian. Guess the rough water brought up or in some older coins, I don't know how that works. Hope you get all your damage fixed soon. Thanks for sharing some of the damage caused by Ian.
Hi Fred , the storm just removed a few feet of sand down to the level where the older coins have been sitting . Check out Jimmy Crossbones video of the destruction of the seawall in south Daytona . Lots of damage down there . Thanks for watching .
Glad you and family are fine....and I'd sy by you finding those older things yeah the years were removed by the storm. Some may be just off the tide line back in the ocean......would think that for awhile you'll be able to find a mix bag of stuff..and sure others have already told you the nickel is a war nickel ....prayers for all in Florida
Hi Terry , I get to hunt the low tide next week . Should be interesting to see what shows up . I have two more hunts after the storm but the tides were high and there was not much beach . Thanks for watching .
I've waited to find a video from you. Great to see that you and your wife are safe. My aunt and uncle live in Fort Myers. They were thinking they were able to go back yesterday. Haven't heard any news as of yet. Stay safe and hunt the beaches while you can. Super glad you guys weathered the storm well.
Hi Leann , check out Jimmy Crossbones UA-cam video of the destruction of the seawall in south Daytona . Its crazy . Hope your Aunt and Uncle made out OK . Thanks for watching .
@@idigdaytona4478 Thanks for the suggestion. Went, saw and oh my goodness... just shocking. I used to live in DeLand as well as Clearwater. Both places hold fond memories.
I was not able to sleep tonight I live in Lakeland my roof has to be replaced on my mobile home but it was damaged before the hurricane it's going to cost me more than I have to fix the roof but anyway I wanted to say that I was following another gentleman tonight he went down to Fort Myers down there where everything's flooded OMG I used to live in North Fort Myers for a while with my late husband and I'm glad I did not stay or we came back to Lakeland we were there for several years in a mobile home park I doubt that that place exists now but the gentleman I was watching he had an airboat and it was trying to help rescue people down there he did not interview most of the people didn't show pulling them out of their homes doing what they had to do to give them some privacy but anyway I knew it was a mess down there but I could not believe their airboat was passing up mailboxes in the water so they were basically riding the road but it was water I don't know how they managed to not hit something with that boat but anyway I just thought I'd throw that at you the one man also had a big army truck and he got down there with it no problems until he got down to where he was going to help rescue some more people in his transmission went out so he never did say how they pulled it back to his home where he had some damage himself but he was out helping the sheriff's department and just rescuing taking water to people that didn't want to leave their homes oh it was a mess anyway I hope that you are okay
That's pretty Cool & We Like Your Scoop & This Was Our First Time Watching, & My Wire & I Have Metal Detectors & Pin Pointers,But We Moved To North East Texas From Colorado, & Never Beach Detected So it Looks Fun & We'll Watch More & See If We Can Learn Something
Hi Keeping It Real , it is a fun hobby . Inland or the beach , you never know what you will find out there . More on the way. I put up a new video every Friday at 12:15 pm. Thank you for watching .
Hi onehundredfifty , I hope the pin point volume is adjustable on the new Manticore. I don't know why they make it so loud. I use it because most of the time it makes for a fast neat recovery . Thanks for watching .
Congrats on getting that silver war nickel, mercury dime, ring, and other finds. If that Canadian dime is also silver if its old enough. It is sad about all damage. I hope everything will be fine for you soon. GL&HH.
Hi Mark , the Canadian dime is a 1935 silver . Jimmy Crossbones UA-cam channel has video of the destruction of the seawall in south Daytona . Amazing what the surf can do . I will be out there this week for the low tides . More on the way .
Hi Katherine , it is a fun hobby . You never know what you will find. Every now and then a gold ring pops up. Maybe I will see you out there in the future ! Thanks for watching .
That pull tab that you picked up during wrap up sure looked like an old original P38 can opener, military. I had one that someone had stolen from me years ago. The ones they sell now are not very good. I can't find any of the original ones. Nice finds. Thanks for taking us along.
Cool video makes me want to knock the dust off the detector and head for the beach here in Texas. I should have gone to Galveston Beach after Hurricane Ike but did not make it down. Now that the weather is cooling down here in Texas I think I will make a run to the island and make a day of it. I need to modify my metal hand scoop to put a handle on it like yours. I should have bought the shovel model when I had the chance and the money. Good luck....keep swinging. Fred in Texas
Hi Fred , you should dust off the detector . Its good exercise and you never know what you will find out there . The little grab handle on my scoop is a Gold digger Raptor pull handle. They sell for $15. and have a lifetime guarantee . Check my Kellyco affiliate link in the video description and do a search . It should come up. Thanks for watching .
@@idigdaytona4478 Thank you I will take a look. Bending over and digging at my age is not good (76) so a pole attached to my hand scoop would sure help.
Hi Francis , I did check that. He has 4 . I also checked the war nickel as there are some double strikes and date re-stamps. Its just a war nickel with nothing else going on . Thanks for watching .
The canadian dime has George the 6th on it, so it is silver. Definitely war nickel there and always nice to find d a merc. Congrats! There should be more oldies out there next time. Congrats and hh.
Hi 925inder , 1935 is George 5th silver dime . Found another silver 1947 Rosie dime today . Still trying to clean up the finds from today . Thanks for watching .
Hey Brian, sounds like you guys got some of the bad stuff for sure. If that cold front had not dipped down it was headed for us. Sorry for the damage and hang in there brother, we have had them hit us multiple times, three over three weekends about fifteen years ago. Yes sir, that is a War Time Nickle with a Philidelphia mint mark, congrats on it and the other old coins, love wheat pennies. My wife and I tried to find a hotel with beach access, and not until I just watched your video did I see the damage. We stay in the same area where you hunt the most. Then called St. Augustine and they are in the same situation. Thank you for showing us your conditions down there my friend, you have and are in our prayers.
Hi Joey , thank you . I moved here 43 years ago . Been through many storms. I remember the triple hit . That was bad . Seems the storm stole most all the jewelry off the beach . Found an old earring today and a bunch of old coins. Not much down low on the beach . Time will sort it out . Thank you for watching .
The geophysicist in me started yelling, "Black sand! Black sand!" as soon as you got there. Lots of black sand but I didn't see any sort of gravel or pebble layers. That could be due to my lack of knowledge of that beach. You were definitely set up for success. I was extremely curious about the sand behind those palm logs from the old seawall. Congrats on the war nickel. For those who might not know, the gubmint pulled the nickel out of the alloy used to mint them and replaced it with silver. Seems weird that nickel was worth more than silver during the war, doesn't it? Now that 35 percent silver is worth a lot more than a nickel. Nickels with dates 1942 - 1945 with a "P" over the dome on the back are war nickels. There were some 1942 that were normal and missing the P. As I write this, for the silver alone they are worth about $1.10 each.
Hi ut000bs , thank you . We don't have rocks or gravel , unless they washed in from landscaping . Everything sinks in the blond sand . On the nickel / silver seeming weird , the paper and ink on the money is all the same, just the number they print on it makes it more valuable , that's weird too . Article I Section 10 of the Constitution of the United States says No State shall make any thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts. Its funny how the powers that be use the Constitution only when it suits them . Today they just print paper and give it away around the world . Now they are talking about digital money , where they don't even have to use paper and ink. It won't end well for the people. Thanks for watching .
@@gloriawelch3603 When I was a kid our coins were the 90% silver and the dollar was backed by gold. A cup of coffee was .10 cents and a gallon of gas was .25 cents . Not any more .
Hi Tom , I thought the nickel was a silver war nickel . Didn't have any way to check for sure till my internet came back. I will be out there a lot next week as low tide is in the afternoons. Thanks for watching .
Glad you're ok! You found some cool old coins. I bet the hurricane washed out all the new stuff and left all the old stuff that was deep in the sand, reckon
Hi Marianne , I think that is what it did. I will be hunting the low tide this week to see if I can find some jewelry further out . The ocean may give some of it back when the sand washes back in . Thanks for watching .
Brian, just finished watching. WOW did your beach get washed out. Didn't happen that severe here. Congrats on the old coins, the Merc and the Buffalo, and of course the ring. Was it Stainless? Okay, to the 1943 Nickel. It IS Silver, From Oct. 1942, thru 1945 all US nickels were minted with 35% silver to save nickel for the war effort. They all have the big P, D, or S on the back, for Philly, Denver or San Fran. Great great find. Congrats buddy, and I hope your boat house didn't suffer too badly. Take Care. Rob
Hi Rob , check out Jimmy Crossbones UA-cam channel for his video of the seawall destruction in south Daytona . Its a mind blower ! Thanks for watching .
I was wondering how you were doing after the hurricane. Glad you are OK my friend. A cool mix of finds while you were on overload. Sorry about the boat house
Hi Nathaniel , we are doing fine . Not enough hours in a day .The water in the lake is going down slowly . I will get things back to normal soon . Thanks for watching .
I’m on a plane headed to Daytona right now… detector included. I sure hope I can find a merc! I have found only 1 Buffalo nickel and it was on our beach (in Oregon). Love the videos!
Hi Diane , its getting harder to find them but they are still showing up here and there . Maybe I will see you out there. Good luck and thanks for watching .

Yes sir allways on the hunt@@idigdaytona4478 down there i used a minelab excaliber 1000 here i use the original fisher gold bug ,yea theres plenty to dig here!
Hi Gringo Loco , most of that stuff is about 2.5 hours south of me . But anything is possible . There were many ship wrecks on Florida beaches years ago. Thanks for watching .
Sorry about your boat and little house, Florida, Cuba, and other states and countries got it really bad. There are so far almost 500 maybe more deaths in Florida and there could be more. Very sad for everyone. Nice detecting, glad you got a few nice things.🤗🤗🤗
Hi Susan , the death toll in Florida is now up to 123. I heard a lady visiting from Kentucky got pulled out by a big wave . Her family saved her and as they were going up the stairs the stairs collapsed and she was washed out again . The second time she drowned . Very sad . I think people under estimate the power of the water . Check out Jimmy Crossbones You Tube channel to see the destruction of the seawall in south Daytona. Amazing . Thanks for watching .
Thanks for a very interesting video. You earned my subscription. I also use an Equinox, but I live in the Southwest Arizona desert. A very different type of detecting! I use the 6" Minelab coil, which is better for finding coins in dry, mineralized soil. Hey, I have a thought for you! Although conventional wisdom has it you follow the highest point reached by the incoming waves, I watched a video done by a fellow detecting a tourist beach on the West coast of Australia after a storm. In the area just below a sea wall similar to the one you show at 03:23 he found many rings and coins. Just a thought. Keep detecting! Sooner or later you'll find a Spanish gold Escudo or silver Rael!
Hi Chris , I thank you for the subscription . Items get stuck at the top of the beach when big surf pushes them up against the wall. They drop and there is not enough flow the other direction to carry them back out. I have found some coins that way . If I don't find much there it means someone already hit it. Its a great place to check after a big storm . The Spanish gold and silver is 2.5 hours south of here . They didn't get enough beach erosion from this storm. They lost some sand but not enough to get down to the 1715 fleet stuff . Thanks for watching , more on the way .
Hey IDD! Glad you made it out there, how could you not want to go right after that storm 🤣😅 finding a way to get on to the beach is a trick though 😏 there's a lot of old coinage up against the walls..well..all over too haha frustrating so many 7 8 9 10 11 12 numbers and never a ring! it's crazy.. I'm glad you got one though that's good! ... See you out there!🏴☠️

Thanks for taking me digging, it was fun! That little hook with the spookie face is intriguing. It's wild that the button still had thread attached. In my head, that button popped off a pirate's cuff. 🏴☠I hope life is getting back in order for you. Take care.
Hi Vero , you're welcome . You never know what will show up on a Florida beach. Things are getting back to normal slowly. Thanks for watching .
Hi tboltorama , I think you are correct on the skull . You never know what will show up out there . Thanks for watching .
Prayers for you to recover all soon. Devastating storm it was!! 🙏🙏🙏 Enjoyed your video.
Hi D Mar , it will take a little time but things will be back to normal before too long . Thank you for the prayers . They can do wonders. Thanks for watching .
So glad to see you out hunting for treasures. The canadian could be silver depending on the year, should test it. Best wishes-stay safe
Hi Sheila , the Canadian dime is a 1935 . I suspect it is silver .

Hello from Naples, Florida. We enjoyed watching you metal detecting. Thank you so much for sharing with us
Hi Florida Flip Flops , you're welcome . You guys got hit hard by the storm . I hope you made out OK . What a shame to see all the destruction done by the storm . I hope things get back to normal for you soon . I thank you for watching ,
Great work Brian!! I was curious to see what you’d dig out after that storm, good luck repairing your stuff and I’ll see you the next one!!- Bob
Hi Bob , thank you . I have been finding old silver coins. Not much jewelry. More on the way , thanks for watching .

I'm sad you're having to deal with so much, thank you very much for stopping long enough to take a detecting break.
Your right, the beach took a beating.
Lots of money going on for sure, congrats on the more significant coins.
Give our best to your wife.

Hi Maria and Bruce Beaupre , thank you . I have more videos on the way . Afternoon low tides all next week too . Thanks for watching .
hi mate glad you are safe and my thoughts and prayers go out to all affected great video mate
Hi kernow finds , thank you . Many people need the prayers . Thanks for watching .
Hi Helen , hurricanes are very unpredictable . Glad they made out OK too. Thanks for watching .
I live in frt myers where it hit and i still cnt recognize some of the places
Hi Wes , you had it bad down there. It may take a while to get everything back up and back to normal . I guess some things are gone for good. Hurricanes are no joke . May God bless you and get everything back to normal asap . Stay safe and thanks for watching .
@@idigdaytona4478 thank you and 2 of the 3 spot where i used to meet up with some friends are not on the map anymore with no plans to rebuild. But thankfully from what i know everyone was ok damage is repairqble but lives are not. God bless and yall stay safe out there
Hi Wes , you too.

Nice to see the beach cut down, when my beaches get like that I only dig target I'd 20 or less.nice video.
Hi Mick , you will miss big silver doing that . Would be a shame to walk over a silver dollar . Thanks for watching .

Hi Metal SHARXS! , thank you . Thanks for watching .
Great Show, Hope to see video every day. God Bless Florida. Georgia Mad Mike
Wow, great and interesting hunt! Glad all is well-ish after the storm. I enjoyed the video - thanks.

Hi Shaun , lots of older coins out there .
Glad you are doing OK my friend 👍

Nice hunt Brian. Guess the rough water brought up or in some older coins, I don't know how that works. Hope you get all your damage fixed soon. Thanks for sharing some of the damage caused by Ian.
Hi Fred , the storm just removed a few feet of sand down to the level where the older coins have been sitting . Check out Jimmy Crossbones video of the destruction of the seawall in south Daytona . Lots of damage down there . Thanks for watching .

Hi Occam's Razor , it was an early pull tab . I keep a P38 can opener in my wallet. They are great can openers. Thanks for watching .
Very nice video. Glad you are ok! The war nickels have a P on the back centered at the top.
Hi Pete , thank you . Good to know about the war nickels . Thanks for watching .
Omg

Take Care.

Hey IDD! Glad you made it out there, how could you not want to go right after that storm 🤣😅 finding a way to get on to the beach is a trick though 😏
there's a lot of old coinage up against the walls..well..all over too haha frustrating so many 7 8 9 10 11 12 numbers and never a ring! it's crazy.. I'm glad you got one though that's good! ... See you out there!🏴☠️

New Subscriber! I live in Debary, Daytona had a lot of standing water after Ian, Cool video! Bro you're having a lot of luck! Heck of a haul man! P above the capital, it's a 35% silver War Nickel man! Buffalo is cool! Merc dime, nice 90%er! Canadian dime with the sailboat on it, might be 80% silver if it's old enough... Nice video man...

Hi Adventures Unknown 101 , they are the first generation of pull tabs. Second came the pull ring type and then the pop top they use today . Thanks for watching .
Something that I would like to do. But........, haven't done. Good "Luck" with your hunting. Texas/USA🇺🇸
Hi Springsteen , its a great hobby and good exercise too. You should give it a try . Thanks for watching .
The claw/tooth with the skull thing looked kinda like gold. Is that some pirate jewelry
Hi Alan , I don't think its gold . As far a pirate jewelry, I have no way to know how old it is . The oldest Item I can identify would be the buffalo nickel . They were made between 1913 and 1928 . You never know what you will find with a metal detector. Thanks for watching .
