Dominican Republic, Belize, Jamaica, Nicaragua, and Brazil are AMAZING countries. I'm not from any of those countries but that doesn't stop them from being great. They're full of culture an amazing people. Africans are what make these countries so great. Latinos wouldn't be LATINOS if it wasn't for the mixture of various people and cultures.
@Ronald V: Blacks can be Latinos too. If it wasn't for the Africans, us Latinos wouldn't have cumbia or salsa or merengue, bachata, or punta. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have such great food either. Africans make a big part of the Latino culture as do indigenous and spaniards.

This dance is called "Cumbia", is typical of the Colombian Caribbean, the name of the song is "La Pollera Colorá", the composer is Wilson Choperena and Juan Madera. Pollera is the name of the skirt of the female dancer and "Colorá" refers to the color red.
@@Yelolaren22 sorry to correct, but this isn´t "La Pollera Colora", that´s another song and you can hear it here: ua-cam.com/video/LW0xab0ec0E/v-deo.html
Depressionly Potato .how can you be Colombian if you don’t even know how to spell colombia. It’s colombia no columbia. And this is the traditional dance! You are not Colombian at all!
Maria Caro did I EVER say that this dance isn’t Colombian and yes I am Colombian don’t be so rude I was just saying I’ve never seen it I’m not disrespecting my own culture.
It's okay. It can happen. Especially in mixed generations. Just do your own research from the history all the way down to the music and the internet can be a way for you to learn more about Colombia. Don't let others discourage you. You will know where you will go in life by knowing where you came from.
whats happening? africans in brasil been doing there own thing since forever its those non africans taking african dances as there own and implementing it as tradition brasilian dance. PS brasil is the most racial and ethnic diverse country in south america
This isn't traditional Colombian dancing!! Its not because traditional colombian, Central American, and Caribbean dancing is a mix of Spanish and Indigenous music not african. These dancer's are of african not indigenous but brought as slaves, respect to them becaus they are people, but they aren't(Indigenous and Spanish), they are africans trying to steal Colombia's true ancestry like they did in Dominican Republic,Jamaica,Nicaragua, Belize, Wake up Indigenous Latinos/Hispanic's!!
He has a point. Native American music is embedded in Colombian music. Indigenous music from Colombia needs to be heard to comprehend Colombia. And people forget to mention that the indigenous from Colombia also mixed with the African that came to Colombia. It was not just the Europeans. Fact!
Glimmering Sea he still doesn’t have a point. The special thing about Latin America is out culture is mixed a lot. He’s purposely being racist and not acknowledging African culture is a huge part of Latin American culture.
I love my people in Colombia 🇨🇴
Me too girl. 🥰🇨🇴
hi would you happen to know this songs name by chance ?
I’m not Colombian I’m Mexican and I absolutely love Colombian culture !! ❤️🇨🇴

That's because Panama used to be part of Combia once
more like the other way around
Girl Panamá is just a rebel departamento of Colombia, Panamá shares with Colombia every thing
Panama used to be part of the Great Colombia. Now Panama is a central american country.
