Thies Farm | Living St. Louis

Producer Anne-Marie Berger visits Thies Farm, and old truck farm off I-70 in St. Louis that have survived suburban sprawl. In the past there were many truck farms in St. Louis, where local farmers would grow their crops in or close to the city so they could truck their produce to local markets. Now, there are only a few, including Thies Farm, which has been in business since 1855. In fact, Thies has expanded over the last few years, now leasing an additional 200 acres in Maryland Heights.
