I've been a hobbyist magician for, oh, 25 years or so, and watched a ton of UA-cam magic over the years. This is the finest performance I have ever seen.
Excellent performance, was very well made with the exaggerated movements that would allow him to do the sleight of hand well. Could only spot one error at 1:53 - 1:54 You can see him put the ball in the cup for a tenth of a second - This could be due to the camera being slightly on the right side of the audience instead of being dead centre.
I've seen this routine, by Yann, a few times, it's always the same routine, but it is fantastic at how quick he can use slight of hand to make a ball and cup appear, disappear and reappear; it's a great spin on an old classic. Also, this is my favorite clip of this routine because of the audience.
Just amazing, even though you can see when things happen, and they're such basic techniques, his skill in execution is beautiful. I can't imagine anyone matching this skill anytime soon.
That is not a spoiler. Slight of hand is different from "magic" in that they do not pretend to have special powers... they simply have the special power of skill. We all know HOW he did it, but the effectiveness of HOW HE DID IT is fantastic and you and I cannot replicate that. Good presentation of it here too.
The trick is pretty simple, but the show, the way he present it, the timing, his character... everything is absolutly perfect, thus we forget the trick, and it's became really magic :)
Same, once I started watching BOTH hands, rather than the one he wants me to watch, it's easy to spot... provided that I can rewind and watch it again more carefully. It's still an impressive performance.
Spotted the first slip up. pause at 1:06. you can see that the third ball that appears, doesn't actually appear from inside the cup (when he lifts the cup) but from behind the cup. he drops it there at the same time as grabbing the cup to lift it.
SPOILER Pt. 1 0:07 switches the cups 0:16 puts his finger on the ball so it wont fall out of the cup 0:22 drops the ball in the cup 0:27 takes out another ball under the table then puts his finger on the ball in the cup. then throws away the new ball (the original still in the cup) 0:32 dumps the original ball out 1:03-04 puts another ball in the cup while showing the other one.
Someone is hiding under the table, passing him stuff and throwing the balls... still one of the most impressing and creative magicians i've seen, well done.
4:02 while throwing the ball, he throws himselft another ball with his left hand to his right or he throws a ball from under the table with ball hand and holds the original ball in his right. 4:06 dunno.. 4:26 switches the cups (there's a cup filled with water) and drops the ball
I have watched this enough times that I can see all the little slight of hand he does, but it this is still entertaining if only for the story it tells.
it's not CGI. you can see one arm is down/behind the table when something is procured. and when something disappeared it's because it is getting dropped behind the table/onto his lap. he's very quick and very well-coordinated. tossing things down and throwing things up.
Wait, so you mean this is all just a trick? He's not really supernatural in any way? You have rocked the foundations of my world, and I thank you for the profound clarity, kind sir.
2:01 throws the cup in his right from under the table then drops it while "strikin'" on it. 2:07 after throwing up in his right hand, drops it in his lap 2:43 the cup from his left to his right hand (with a ball in it) 2:44 bites on the ball, drops the cup 2:49 throws from his left (under the table) into his right hand 2 ball, quickly puts the 1st it in his and "pulls" out the 2nd, then spits the first out
yes one does, I can pick apart most of this thanks to penn and teller, but there a few parts I have trouble with still. The only problem I have is with how fast he loads / ditches the tin cup and when he loads the cough ball
I've been a hobbyist magician for, oh, 25 years or so, and watched a ton of UA-cam magic over the years.
This is the finest performance I have ever seen.
Amazing performance artist. Each of those three words were an understatement.
Excellent performance, was very well made with the exaggerated movements that would allow him to do the sleight of hand well.

I've watched this so many times and I still can't pick up half of what he's doing.
Just amazing.
Magic like I've not seen before. Brilliant! Virtuoso performance!!! Bravo! Kudos!

This guy's amazing! His routine looks like a Pixar short film! And the choice to grow a beard adds so much in terms of character development.
Greatest performance ever! So well done!
Unbelievable sleight of hand
Such people are gifted by birth.
yes very correct what trick with his two hands, very very well exibited his talent
+Hemanth Kallakuri Birth has nothing to do with that. It is work!
Not to mention dexterity and hand-eye-coordination
Very fast very accurate. He's beating our visual FPS with some of those moves. Amazing illusions and some very unique moves there.
Bravo.
One of the best videos I've seen for a long time. Very well done.
Absolutely loving it!
cant stop watching this... incredible
Increíble trabajo y magnífico.
Brillante!
Can't wait to see this movie! The trailer looks awesome!
Wow, I enjoyed that alot. What a great talent!
I saw this live yesterday at Magic Live in Las Vegas by Yann, and it is the most astonishing pieces of magic and juggling I have ever seen.
made my day. AMAZING performance
The magic of simplicity and execution. Introducing French magician Yann Frisch, winner of this year's Beijing International Magic Convention.
Сделал настроение на весь вечер!
Wow, very nice nice. Best SOH I've seen in a long while ...
Absolutely beautiful act.
yes indeed my good man, it is all just a trick... and im flattered to have been the one to enlighten you...
Just amazing, even though you can see when things happen, and they're such basic techniques, his skill in execution is beautiful. I can't imagine anyone matching this skill anytime soon.
I love this guy sooo much
unbelievable sleight of hand. All of the movements play into the misdirection he frequently used in the act. well done
Even with the unfairness of rewinding the video to look for a flaw it is still amazing.
Dan thanks for this brilliant show :)
Great routine. Very entertaining combination of slight of hand, juggling, and comedy/clowning.
Talent! lots of practice, respect!

I saw one or two barely, that was awesome!
Great act!
The trick is pretty simple, but the show, the way he present it, the timing, his character... everything is absolutly perfect, thus we forget the trick, and it's became really magic :)
He reminds me of Doug Rattmann from Portal!
the description of this video is spot on
Impressive... Very impressive the Force is strong with this one.
Fantastic!
This is so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
amazing work
the title means: Bejing International Magic Conference - Yann Frisch (French) ... and the show is called "Ball"
Simply amazing! Veeeery nice!
Same, once I started watching BOTH hands, rather than the one he wants me to watch, it's easy to spot... provided that I can rewind and watch it again more carefully. It's still an impressive performance.
This is the best video editing ever. 19 people agree.
One word: Incredible
Spotted the first slip up. pause at 1:06. you can see that the third ball that appears, doesn't actually appear from inside the cup (when he lifts the cup) but from behind the cup. he drops it there at the same time as grabbing the cup to lift it.
Love it!
merci!

This is truly Amazing.
This is truly a whole other level of physical comedy.
No description available. Most accurate thing i've ever read.
No hay dudas de que él es el campeon ! Y además ésa rutina tiene pases distintos a la original !! Habría que compararlas y ver cuál es mejor
such cool and simple tricks
That is crazy.
面白い手品だね!見てて楽しくなってきちゃった!
That was amazing.
Someone is hiding under the table, passing him stuff and throwing the balls... still one of the most impressing and creative magicians i've seen, well done.
I love how distinct Asian amazement is.
Very Charlie Chaplin-esque
Incredibly entertaining, a great laugh - WELL DONE.
I don't care how he did it - its fantastic :D
FENOMENAL!!!
pretty sure the slapstick humor is intended to entertain the audience. the audience also wow and clap at his amazing sleight of hand tricks as well.
4:02 while throwing the ball, he throws himselft another ball with his left hand to his right
or he throws a ball from under the table with ball hand and holds the original ball in his right.
4:06 dunno..
4:26 switches the cups (there's a cup filled with water) and drops the ball
Wow that was amazing
ESSE CARA É MITO!
Amazing !
Wow, this is great!
THIS IS AMAZING! WOW
EXTRAORDINARY and AMAZING! ;) :)
Awesome!!
I have watched this enough times that I can see all the little slight of hand he does, but it this is still entertaining if only for the story it tells.
RESPECT FROM POLAND !!
amazing...so quick...
i can follow his hands. but even though you can see where he's getting those stuff, it still appears magical.
This guy is very good!
Eccezionale ! Fantastico ! WOW !
Mastery....
The fact that this guy doesn't need a fancy suit to do this routine is amazing (It also matches with the style of the performance).
GREAT WORK MAN ...CONGRATTS!
This is freakin' ART.
Brilliant!!!!!!!!!
That was brilliant
there is a send feedback button. use it.
Súper!
superb

2:01 throws the cup in his right from under the table then drops it while "strikin'" on it.

This man is a genius!
awesome!
wow! upgraded version than what i have previously watched ^^ genius!
Whoa amazing quick hand..
1:52 You can see the ball in his hand while turning the cup! Still, really amazing
yes one does, I can pick apart most of this thanks to penn and teller, but there a few parts I have trouble with still. The only problem I have is with how fast he loads / ditches the tin cup and when he loads the cough ball
His life is to entertain others. He is what we call an entertainer. What do you do?
Thats awesome.
A few slip ups, and I can see how he did most of the sleights, but then some I can only infer because he's so damn fast. Good job.
This performance is so perfect xD
I would love to see a slow motion camera film this just to put into perspective how extremely fast he is. I also think it would look pretty cool.
Woot! Nerdcubed, you have good taste!
