Slipping Through My Fingers is a masterpiece imo. So relatable in so many ways and beautifully sung by Agnetha. She was always great at emotional songs and no surprise with this one that's about her own daughter. ABBA are for sure underrated in the US. No idea why they never took off there like they did pretty much everywhere else.

You can hear the difference in their voices in this powerful song. Agnetha's voice is youthful, vibrant, innocent, angelic, bright. Frida's voice is sophisticated, sensual, wise, gentle, soulful. Together, they're unmatched. I'd swear the universe created them to sing together.

The Visitors album is one of my favorites of theirs, very different from their usual Abba sound, seems they were experimenting a lot more on that one than the others. Give "Like an angel passing through my room" and "the Visitors" a listen, they are both Frida leads, and great songs. And imo "Like an angel" must be one of Frida's best vocals ever❣

Since it's Frida's birthday, you should have reacted to I Let The Music Speak where she sang lead or other songs sang by Frida on this album.
Yes, I was disappointed he didn't choose one of Frida's leads on this, even though I love "Slipping". The title track would've been a more obvious choice, I'd have thought. It's so different to their normal stuff, still relevant today and Frida does a fab job with those "tortured" vocals!
He's still relatively new to Abba/Frida and doesn't know who sings lead vocals on any given song. The main thing is that he turned up on Frida's birthday.
Your are amazing man really. I have been in love with this group since I was 14 and I'm 59 now. I married a swedish woman and we had 3 kids. We are divorced but I visit Sweden every year to see my kids. I have been to the Abba museum and my next dream is to see Voyage en London. They have been in every moment throughout my life. Thank you so much for bringing new life to this wonderful and incredible group of people. You are a genius man!!!

Slipping Through My Fingers is of the best songs of ABBA. There is a LIVE-performance with different great less known songs in Germany you can check in!
S.T.M.F was an emotional one when my Grandaughter started Kindy nevermind School and in January my wee Grandson turns 5 and I am sure this song will come to mind. I love Y.O.M.O its a fun beat. Still think you should do the Dick Cavett Show, raw and real.
"Slipping Through My Fingers" so sad/melancholic. You said it straight. - "You send them off to school the first time" The song refers to the fact that once the kid(s) go to school, they're in a world seperate from their parents; they're with their friends, classmates and teachers for 6+ hours a day, 5 days week, for most of the year. The kids spend most of their waking hours away from their parents in a world of their own; a mystery to their mum and dad.

The cover photo was taken at Julius Kronbergs Atelje in Stockholm. It's still there today and open to the public. I've been meaning to do a Stockholm trip for a long time and I'm sure as hell be visiting this place and sit where Benny is sitting 🤩

I love that performance of what is a very under-rated song .. Frida sounds just awesome on it.
My sister asked me to go see the Mamma Mia movie with her back in 2008 along with my niece (her daughter). Slipping Through My Fingers always got me anyway but it's special to my sister because of obvious reasons 😭😅 When the song began in the film me and my sister were bawling instantly, but my ever the cynic niece is looking at us like "...the hell is wrong with you two?" 🤣🤣🤣

I was just watching one of your other videos earlier and was wondering if you would do something today. And here you are. Always good and funny too. You owe me one I think was in middle of divorce and or some arguing. The song caused tension among them. I don’t know the combination but suspect it was Benny and Frida.

ABBA were not very big in the US because thy didnt tour much there and maybe also because it is very "european'.. And still they managed to be the second best selling group in history!! Imagine how populair the were in the rest of the world! (and still are) You Owe me one is more a demo (and it sounds that way lol. Not their finest)
