ALL OF OUR LUMBER IS PURCHASED AT MENARDS, A MIDWEST HARDWARE CHAIN. FOR THESE VIDEOS, WE ARE GENERALLY USING STANDARD PINE BOARDS. YOUR PRICES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU SHOP AND THE TYPE OF WOOD YOU SELECT.
Apart from building such nice thing... I'm in love with her.... She looks stunning :D
I am glad to hear that you have found this book to be very informative and helpful for your woodworking project ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO It sounds like you are well prepared and confident to build furniture for your house. I commend you and your friend for your enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things from this book. I hope you enjoy your woodworking journey and create some beautiful pieces.
I don't think I have looked at the wood work at all... I can watch her whatever she is doing all day and be mesmerized about it.
Little tip to this when installing on the wall; don't add the support pieces at 5:32. Instead, leave them off and stain/finish them with everything else. Once you're ready to hang it, drill into the wall on the studs exactly where those brackets will go. Once it's hung, add the braces to hide the screws.
So you'd be relying on the 1/4" plywood to hold that up?
I really really appreciate how instructed is and very simple. I hope they continue this and I will continue to share
+Selena C. Thank you!
I love watching these videos!! I really wish some of the builders show how they hang up some of these wood projects tho. I can build stuff for sure! But hanging things, even pictures are not my strong suit.
There are so many wall anchors nowadays, I recommend this one, it goes into dry wall, locks into it, about 80 lbs per hole. I recommend 2 for this size cabinet, there should be plenty of youtube vids about it. www.homedepot.com/p/Hillman-1-4-in-Strap-Toggle-12-Pack-376363/203754353 video of different anchors ua-cam.com/video/2SSJaO3gVPE/v-deo.html
Those 2 wood strips inserted are for mounting. First locate the wall studs.. with a good stud finder (they are 16 inches apart). If no walls studs, no worries; buy some plastic wall anchors (some can hold 50+ pounds each!!!) so it's an easy fix.
A trick for mounting heavy stuff, but can't use wall studs:
1. Hold your project into the deselired placement and mark the corners with a pencil (get help to do this if needed)
2. predrill a small hole (thinner than the diameter of the screws you're using) into the mounting parts of your project. Ex: if my project weighs 20 pounds and I plan to place 20 pounds of stuff on it... I'm gonna make sure that it'll support twice that amount AT LEAST. So I'll use 80 ibs of support from my wall anchors at least. I'd use 4 of the 20 Ibs capacity ones. Or maybe even 4 of the 50 Ibs ones, just because...
3. Hold your project up to the marks you've made.
4. Hammer a nail into the mounting holes, this will CREATE THE HOLE PLACEMENT ONTO THE WALL. Now remove project again.
5. Now you know exactly where you can insert your wall anchors. Do that now.
If you this every time, EZ PZ.
@@JoshNtheedrifter I’ll have to re-read this a couple of times but I think I’ll get it! 👍
I absolutely love ur videos I have been bugging my husband 4 years to build things around house and he never does so finally I watch ur guys and did them myself this is my next project I have already done coffee table and barn door
Awesome! Sounds like you're turning into a pro, thanks for watching!
I did ask myself why don't they use a work bench or something but it does really give the sense that anyone could do these elegant projects. Nice approach to get what seems like a mysterious complex job and make it accessible to all.
Thought the same thing about her using a brad nailer..but I'm sure it was to give the anyone can do this effect..Excellent tutorial..Even I can make this
Yes. When I saw her on the floor, I knew this was for me
Made my 1st kitchen island recently and got great moments about it from family and friends, thanks to your instructions I know I'll get better but all the credit goes to you guys for your guidance, cheers. 👍
I love your videos... nails, glue and wood, yaay... $20 or $50 who cares...that cabinet will look fab for years, and the older it gets the better it looks, thanks for posting...
it matters, because they're not even using good wood. It's junk wood.
I’ve had things made of cheap wood. Made by either myself or my dad that has lasted years. I guess it depends on what the intended use is. This cabinet most likely won’t be holding anything too heavy so it’ll last.
@@kmarshall131 who cares?! You don’t need to use the same kind.
I built this today.. and I love it.. the wood ran about 18.00 but the pipe is more expensive so that cost another 23.00.... after tax and everything this was about 44.20 to build.. I already had the stain and everything else needed.
I recently subscribed to this channel and I thing they have some awesome ideas and some are not that great but like everything in life you take what suits you and discard the rest, without the need to put people down. These people that are questioning them for the $20 cost of this cabinet, grow up! I saw the design and right there knew for sure it was going to cost me MORE in Florida, I don't believe I am the only one smart enough to figure that out, location, location location!
Keep up the good work The Rehab Life.
Thanks Guys ..Very good video and I'm gonna use this idea in My bathroom. Thank you for posting this ..easy plan ..for people like me .👊💯
You're welcome!
I can watch her work all day

True the cost claim is misleading but the videos are very instructive and make these projects look very doable, even for me.
Wow I'm so appreciative for you guys!! Do you know how much money you are helping thousands or millions of people save!!! Wow I'm really contemplating making the headboard and this cabinet? I'm going to take the measurements and cut to Home Depot to cut all I have it a power gun I don't have the wood cutter you guys have but thank you so much for the video I love the rustic look ❤️

Oh geez, thanks for the compliment!
nice cabinet with simple tools , thanks !
Thanks for watching!
Not really sure how this is 20. I spent 30 on the wood and 27 on the pipe stuff. Overall it was worth it.
It's UA-cam... Catchy price will get your attention. Of course reality is not UA-cam.
And this video was made four years ago
You could try using pallet wood, but you would need to have some good tools to make it look nice.
@@20DDan products costs differently across the nation. Certain states charge more for certain wood, metals, etc. Still cheaper to make it yourself and more rewarding.
These folks live in the Midwest. I used to myself, and during that time we didn’t have big box stores such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.. doesn’t help that since COVID-19 wood prices have inflated 170% but yes, irregardless totally worth it!
This still would be so much cheaper than buying the already made one at Lowe's! 😍😍
Você é linda
Gorgeous smile and good work!
I am in West TX and bought all the supplies at Lowes for 24.00.
No way
The galvanized pipe alone cause around $20 at Lowe's or home Depot
i am gonna make this but i am from NYC so 20 would be a dream come will give you details when done. great video.

I hope you make a lot more videos, easy to understand! Thanks
N. Bbbbhhhhhijiijjhooooo
I'm going to be making two of these. However, I'm going to make them bigger and recess them into my walls so I can get more depth.
Easy project using old pallet wood. 👍

Hi Guys Fantastic Videos love your style and simplicity just the sort of projects most people are willing have a go at.keep up the good work Happy Woodworking David
In 2010 I bought in abandoned gutted out house I've been doing everything all by myself I am 50 years old so I started late at this but there's so much I want to do to this house I see beyond what it is I currently just enclosed the porch and that's gonna be my nail studio I'm going to do nails and my next job is to tear out my kitchen what is my kitchen which is not really a kitchen I just made it functional and my old landlord that I used to rent from just gave me an entire set of kitchen cabinets but I am going to take those plain cabinets and totally revamp them hes going to want them back when I'm done but he can't have them back I am learning so much from you guys I'm going to make that console table but I'm not going to stain everything I want things silver and mirrored I like how easy you show us how to make things but once we build it we can created to anything we want Thanks for your tutorials I am totally addicted to you guys
Awesome! Thanks for watching! Sounds like you have plenty of projects ahead...
ciennagirl53 I’m sorry but you look so beautiful
I love this. I feel like I'd be scared to use the saw. My house should be built in June so I'm excited to try one of you projects!
Congrats on the new house!
oh wow... I'm just like you guys, haha. It's gotten crazy how these DIY projects have gotten expensive$$. I tell my friends, "this only costed $20" and people are selling them for waaay above from what it costed to make. Love your videos, keep it up please!
well sure they do, they need to live from something as well
Nice simple and it looks great
Don't know where you at but down here (South TX) that would come to about $35 - $40. All that aside, is a really nice build.
Marco A I definitely agree, I'm from South Texas as well.
Marco that's really cheap. Here in Pennsylvania it would cost a lot more.
I just discovered you guys and I love your stuff. I am adding some of your videos to me "Home Projects" playlist. Thanks.
It'd be nice to see the final project for more than 2 seconds.
Nice job!
When you came to adding the two shelves inside. The second shelf was slightly loose, due to the first shelf being forced into place, causing the sides to bow outwards. Just a little hint for next time. A very nice job.
I absolutely love this channel it's inspire so many things I wanna do to my home
love you both and Love From India my brother and sister
Simple - Lovely finish !!
Buenísimo vídeo. Gracias. Saludos desde El Quisco, Chile.

I love this woman. I really do :P

Loved watching this.. just priced it out.. just curious how it's only $20
Good and very nice job! your the best :)
Thanx for sharing. Really good info. Will it work to only make the holes half thru the table if the table is 1.5 inches thick ???
My gosh she's gorgeous
with nice sound !
kol
What is the stain you used on this project?
I agree with the reviewer below, $20 or $50 who cares? Just the type of project I was looking for. Looks great too
very very gooooood
I like the project and I like what you do BUT saying this cost $20 is a stretch. I shop at Menards, a lot, and there is no way everything you used for this project cost $20. If my wife saw this video and LOVED the cabinet and gave me a list of materials and $20....what could I buy at Menards??? Well here is a breakdown of what the materials you used are at my local Menards....
1/2 floor flange (x2) - $6.16
90 degree elbow (x2) - $1.59
Close nipple (2 pack) - $1.94
Galvanized pipe - $2.99
Pine board 1x8x10 - $8.62
Pine board - 1x6x4 - $2.79
Pine board - 1x2x2 - $2.39
Not counting glue, nails, screws, sanding block, stain and poly…..or the 24” x 36” sheet of plywood.
Now I have a serious question....do you think less people would watch this video if you had a cost of $50 in the description? Don't get me wrong....I like the video and I like what you're doing but the cost seems to be stretched just a little. Maybe put a link to the material you bought in the description so people can see what you paid and compare it to what they had to pay???? Fun video nevertheless.
Chris Parker I agree. I really like the videos but I just spent the minimum I could to build this and it cost me $86. Not including the galvanized pipe and materials. My guess is that all the pieces were left overs from previous projects and they broke it down as such. But no where $20. : /
+Rick Martinez I agree. I don't know why they put a so low cost of materials in the description. Click bait? Not sure.
Chris Parker They said they only got the wood from there. Who's to say they didn't get the rest somewhere else at a discount?
+Stephany Lewis $6.20 for everything else.....impressive.
They cut the wood themselves in the video.
Great job .. I hope you continue this
