Little tip to this when installing on the wall; don't add the support pieces at 5:32. Instead, leave them off and stain/finish them with everything else. Once you're ready to hang it, drill into the wall on the studs exactly where those brackets will go. Once it's hung, add the braces to hide the screws.

I love watching these videos!! I really wish some of the builders show how they hang up some of these wood projects tho. I can build stuff for sure! But hanging things, even pictures are not my strong suit.

There are so many wall anchors nowadays, I recommend this one, it goes into dry wall, locks into it, about 80 lbs per hole. I recommend 2 for this size cabinet, there should be plenty of youtube vids about it. www.homedepot.com/p/Hillman-1-4-in-Strap-Toggle-12-Pack-376363/203754353 video of different anchors ua-cam.com/video/2SSJaO3gVPE/v-deo.html

Those 2 wood strips inserted are for mounting. First locate the wall studs.. with a good stud finder (they are 16 inches apart). If no walls studs, no worries; buy some plastic wall anchors (some can hold 50+ pounds each!!!) so it's an easy fix.
A trick for mounting heavy stuff, but can't use wall studs:
      1. Hold your project into the deselired placement and mark the corners with a pencil (get help to do this if needed)
      2. predrill a small hole (thinner than the diameter of the screws you're using) into the mounting parts of your project. Ex: if my project weighs 20 pounds and I plan to place 20 pounds of stuff on it... I'm gonna make sure that it'll support twice that amount AT LEAST. So I'll use 80 ibs of support from my wall anchors at least. I'd use 4 of the 20 Ibs capacity ones. Or maybe even 4 of the 50 Ibs ones, just because...
      3. Hold your project up to the marks you've made.
      4. Hammer a nail into the mounting holes, this will CREATE THE HOLE PLACEMENT ONTO THE WALL. Now remove project again.
      5. Now you know exactly where you can insert your wall anchors. Do that now.
If you this every time, EZ PZ.

I recently subscribed to this channel and I thing they have some awesome ideas and some are not that great but like everything in life you take what suits you and discard the rest, without the need to put people down. These people that are questioning them for the $20 cost of this cabinet, grow up! I saw the design and right there knew for sure it was going to cost me MORE in Florida, I don't believe I am the only one smart enough to figure that out, location, location location!
Keep up the good work The Rehab Life.

I like the project and I like what you do BUT saying this cost $20 is a stretch. I shop at Menards, a lot, and there is no way everything you used for this project cost $20. If my wife saw this video and LOVED the cabinet and gave me a list of materials and $20....what could I buy at Menards??? Well here is a breakdown of what the materials you used are at my local Menards....
    1/2 floor flange (x2) - $6.16
    90 degree elbow (x2) - $1.59
    Close nipple (2 pack) - $1.94
    Galvanized pipe - $2.99
    Pine board 1x8x10 - $8.62
    Pine board - 1x6x4 - $2.79
    Pine board - 1x2x2 - $2.39
Not counting glue, nails, screws, sanding block, stain and poly…..or the 24” x 36” sheet of plywood.
Now I have a serious question....do you think less people would watch this video if you had a cost of $50 in the description? Don't get me wrong....I like the video and I like what you're doing but the cost seems to be stretched just a little. Maybe put a link to the material you bought in the description so people can see what you paid and compare it to what they had to pay???? Fun video nevertheless.

Chris Parker I agree. I really like the videos but I just spent the minimum I could to build this and it cost me $86. Not including the galvanized pipe and materials. My guess is that all the pieces were left overs from previous projects and they broke it down as such. But no where $20. : /

+Rick Martinez I agree. I don't know why they put a so low cost of materials in the description. Click bait? Not sure.

Chris Parker They said they only got the wood from there. Who's to say they didn't get the rest somewhere else at a discount?

They cut the wood themselves in the video.
