There is a very beautiful, touching, heartbreaking miniature Persian painting of Majnoun embracing the gravestone of Leila or Leyla. I have not seen that painting for about 3 decades, but it has never left my memory. It is one of the most romantic pictures I have ever seen. Truly magnificent.
ελλάδα and Iran are both from same culture.their languages are both indoeuropean and are deeply similar.they were at war,right,but two titans at war,Titans of culture indeed.you can find mutual influence everywhere,in music,in theater,in dances,in laments and lullabies,in ceremonies,in customs and traditions .even in their names and faces... you know i am translating one of plato's dialogues from ancient greek to modern persian and i know that how much these two culture are deeply connected.
