Washington State hasn't had $1.99 gas in ages. Beef, chicken and fish prices have gone up more and stayed high. Most of these products are processed by large corporations.

The feds metrics leave out so much data on core inflation drivers it's infuriating. It's such obvious metric padding to make it seems like we're doing way better than we actually are

"Most people don't have the luxury to pay for everything in cash" lol if you can't pay for it in cash, it is a luxury. You shouldn't pay for anything with credit except a house, if you are, you are living beyond your means.

There needs to be regulation passed to cap investment (bank) ownership of single family homes to a certain #, like 500-1000. And strict legislation restricting shell companies under the banks from doing the same. It is the main driver of housing cost increases. They come in and pay these greedy boomers full cash for their houses and then rent them out

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered." Thomas Jefferson

Because it's a free market, which means prices for everything go up and up except for the price of labor.

High real estate costs keep inflation up, which keeps interest rates up. I believe high land price is the main cause. It is half the cost of the building or higher in most cities. If the government can regulate land prices like water, it will push inflation down. We should not put a high price on air, water and land. They are the essential elements of life

As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war. God grant that my suspicions may prove groundless.” Abraham Lincoln

He's just doing his job. It's the system that's BS.
If you have a job, if you can still afford to gas your car and feed your face, he's doing his job. Be grateful. Because if things were better for you, it would probably hurt the economy. That's capitalism 101, only owners and rulers win.
