    There are so many skill types in the game that don't have a heal or elite version. So many skills that you can just add more. Add a new row of skills for each profession that is lacking.

    I'm amazed by the carelessness of the Design and Balance Team. Releases Warrior Staff, Thief Axe and Mace Untamed in the same patch. It's super strange how staff and axe were nerfed instantly meanwhile Mace Untamed is in every single lobby on both teams. Maybe our main guy Cal the useless QA is main Ranger who knows. I really like the guy I think he is great infront of the camera seeing the amount of "great" updates to the PVP every 4 months is plenty it's not like the mode has lost 99% of it's playerbase since 2019 oddly enough the year when he was promoted to Lead Game deisgn

      Well, if they didn't release all the weapons in the same day, there would be riots.
      Though i can't defend not-nerfing maces earlier.
      At least now they were slapped with few gigatones of force.

    I don't think this is actually true.
    Every ranger/hunter in all mmorpg gains new pets for every expansion.
    The profession is not the pet itself its the fact the ranger adapts to new ambient. It does not necessary grow stronger he just has more choices.
    The ranger pet was built with the possibility to do what the ranger could not, complementing him or doubling down. Now more than ever the ranger needs many tools that are exclusive to the pet and only the pet does.
    While other classes such has warrior already had for example boon removal and are way too good at it.
    Guardians stability in WvW is still the most potent.
    Rangers are always seen as weakest yet they slowly building up their possibilities with their pet hence why this it what is it in most games.
    Taking the new rangers pet or adding new skills to the warrior would be massively unfair and imbalanced, while adding a new ranger pet is never a big deal as adding a warrior skill.

      What are you trying to argue? what is "IT" you think isn't true?
      "The ranger pet was built with the possibility to do what the ranger could not" - not only grand majority of pets do basic stuff like damage and CC, but also Soulbeast Exist.
      "While other classes such has warrior already had for example boon removal (...)." - How da fug is that an argument against improving class desighn?
      "Rangers are always seen as weakest" - by who? especially after Maces were giving everyone run for their money for last six months and one elite speck is considered meta in at least one gamemode each.
      All that seem's you are trying to argue something outside of the video's topic.

      @@captaincrapface7337 maybe, yet saying ranger is favorable is the most epic lie in guild wars 2 video game history specially when compared to anet blue boy guardian and only a deep wound salty warrior could say this. Which bring us to the present mediocrity and status quo. Improving all the professions as you suggest would only harm the game further if you claim there is favoritism.

      @@RyuDouro I have no idea why you assume malice where there's none.
      I specifically mentioned in the video that expenentiall growth is not a problem, and that it is a feature GW2 sells itself with.
      Further i mentiomed that most classes could be set up for expenentiall growth, withaout artificially inflating their power level, for which i proposed few examples.
      As i alluded to in the video, troughout soto Ranger recieved 3 pets, which means nine actuall skills six from which can be used by Soulbeast. And that's on top of dual maces - the most opressive bullcrap in high rank PvP lobbies.
      And when it comes to presumed biases...
      I want you to find thief/revenent main, and ask them how they feel about recieving less new skills in entire expantion, than ranger recieved each quarterly patch, on top of maces.
      It will certainly be interesting conversation.

      @@captaincrapface7337 revenant is in a similar position to ranger that can do everything in the game plus is excellent at doing spike strike damage.
      thief is another matter and axe was lack luster, yet they have most access to stealth.
      if anything it is warrior that is weak imo.
      But I don't think any of that would help.
      What would help in my opinion is adding one elite skill for an existing core type of skills, for example an Arcane elite spell for elementalist, a elite Shout for Warrior in order to help certain lack luster playstyles for all content. But not just add random profession skills, that is a big no, unless you mean more specialisations and that is fine but resource intensive.

    ...xpacs usually give rangers 2-3 new pets. There wasn't 3 new on the launch of soto. It's been trickled. This isn't exactly special treatment cuz it's mentioned, but other stuff is correct lol

      HoT, PoF and EoD all added 5 pets each.
      Nowhere I stated that SotO pets came all on launch.
      That wouldn't make things worse or better.
      From pets alone Ranger got more skills than some classes got in total from their new weapons.
      Ranger is the only class to recieve new class features besides what everyone got. (New weapon).
      This does look like special treatment.

    As a ranger main, I have to admit we get a lot of favoritism. While warrior is so sidelined that when the most popular npc turned out to be a warrior they changed him to a different, brand new profession.

      @@JT-or4ye rytlock. The npc that introduced the only profession that wasn’t in the game at launch, and was famously a super popular character to the point that he maintained prominence despite the move to replace destiny’s edge.

    You know Crapface, you almost made me think i shouldn't see it as ranger bias.

    Because you're right, the game is theoretically built with that growth and expansion in mind.
    But you gotta admit, it is incredibly telling that the only class that has it working _is the ranger_
    Sure, you mentioned you couldn't think of ideas with some of the classes, but you're one dude. One dude that managed to think up idea for like half the other classes.
    They have _a whole studio_ of people. Surely some of them could brainstorm up some ideas 😅

      First they'd have to view eight classes not getting updates alongside ranger's pets as an issue.
      Noone ever complained about it, or at least i haven't seen anyone doing so.
      How is Anet supposed to wiew something as a problem if noone complains about it?
      We need to complain more.

      It's a good idea after all.
      But i have a question. Do you think this would be a higher priority to get fixed, or are there more pressing issues that need to be addressed first? Like fixes for old stuff?
      The more i think about it, the more this videos issue actually seems like an important change. A change in how the devs view the other classes. Since it kinda feels like the "root problem" we are having

      @@droganovic6879 currently I'd say priority should be: keeping game alive > bugs > class reworks > class balance.
      Imo class reworks come before balance becouse certain class features (or lack there off) make them more difficult to balance and expand.

      Sounds fair. Seems like a good plan even. That way if the reworks take time we at least have a stable base.
      But what do you mean by "keep the game alive" if I may ask? Tryna get new players, more story, what exactly?

    imo best way to add more options to engi would be adding customization to the kits, ala untamed hammer if not just adding new kits alltogehter.

    guardian could get something like retri paladin from wow, they could build fervor with attacks and then spend them in different "blessings" blessings you could receive by traveling around tyria and all the areas, like ranger pets and you could limit them to 2 blessings or maybe even only 1, their kit is already super bloated but idk hahaha

      warrior could get different fighting styles across tyria as well, giving them passive buffs to a certain warrior aspect or even an active ability

    If they want a growth option for warrior, just expand the number of burst each weapon has. The player can select what burst they want like how rangers select pets.
    For example, axe could have a alternate burst called "Bloodbath" that reduces damage to level 1 damage, but heals allies for 15% per burst level, making main hand axe a more offensive main hand support weapon than mace.
    Or a new burst for rifle called "Covering Fire" that changes the burst to an targeted AoE area that dose damage and infects slow over 4/5/6 seconds.
    And for berserker, you can have new berserker specific burst. Mace can get a new burst called "Power Gyser" that removes the condi damage and instead is an AoE launch that leaves behind a water field for 2 seconds, making the mace primal burst more suited as a support role.
    Bladesworn can get whole new Gunsabers that change the burst skills completely. Such as a gunsaber that dose condi damage (though admitidly, for condi bladesworn to work, more than the burst would need to be changed)
    Anet could even have little flavor quest for these new burst, such as taking to a Blood Legion char Drizzle Wood and kill one of the steel warband member while having an axe equiped to get the new axe burst in PvE.

      Doubt this is better idea than switchable sequence skills.
      Adrenaline in its entirety is poorly fleshed out as a mechanic, and warrior is already adrenaline hungry.
      Also, warrior suffers from having one mechanic - all traits warrior has are connected to burst in some way shape or form. Adding 2nd maior attatment point for trait interaction, would be muchnhealthier for the class in general, than hanging even more on the 1st one.

    Ranger has always been an Anet favorite, the blue class tends to take the flak because its more in your face meanwhile most don't notice / forget that ranger gets just as good (if not better in some patches) treatment.

      Even as a ranger main, when I saw the new pet announcement for this patch I was actually disappointed, as even though 80-90% of my playtime goes to ranger I want other classes to get attention more than I want more pets.

    Never understood the gimmick of only rangers having pets. I get having unique pets, since they probably shot their mother bambi style, but everyone can get a dog.

      Well its partially due to fantasy troupes being completly stupid. The only thing that separates Irl equivalents of DnD fighter, ranger and barbarian is their fashion.

      @@porcus123 it would make me hours to cover all diferences and nuances that make every aspect of physical combat from barehanded to fully armored with polearms wholy unique, but YT comments are not a greatful place to start such tyrrade.
      Its not my fault that people making games/books/movies usually come from civilised, peacefull modern societies, and never held in hands anything sharper than a butter knife, let alone had to fight, and to be honest, it isn't their fault either.
      Even I learned most what i know about combat due to being a massive medieval history nerd.

    Thief main here. It's gutting seeing classes like ranger and necro getting buffs. Honestly very little good about this game anymore. It has just become a casual game based around fashion.

      I agree that Casuals are dictating what gets buffed or nerfed, but you wouldn't like the reason why i think so... (in plat thief is a monster)
