Brown has more value to a championship contender than some of this fan base think. This fan base is so caught up in Browns time here without understanding the few months Brown played here is almost irrelevant to his value for a contender. For one most GM’s likely believe Brown didn’t want to be here and we had nothing to play for so he wasn’t motivated. Brown already built his reputation on the biggest stage and was the No Powell like X factor the Nuggets championship. He has more value to a contender than some of you think. I wouldn’t be shocked if he has more value than Trent does to a team that’s right there like the Mavs, Knicks or even a team like Sacramento. I won’t be shocked if a team like OKC shows interest because they’re lacking that kind of glue guy that every championship team had.
OKC just traded for Caruso, they don’t want him. Sacramento is fine without Brown, they just had their shooting/energy guys Huerter and Malik Monk injured when it mattered most in playoffs. Knicks have no cap space for Brown if they want to resign OG, Hart and Hartenstein. I’m sure Kings and Knicks will prioritize flexibility for resigning these players over trading for 23 million dollar a season Bruce Brown. No team is willing to offer what the raptors originally wanted for this guy (2 first round picks or a first and a servicable player). So how didn’t his value tank?
What contender is going to absorb his absurd 23 million dollar salary? Most, if not all, serious contenders are in the salary cap apron territory. Are the Raps going accept some bad contracts for Brown? A 2nd round pick is what he'll most likely draw if a team trades for him. If Masai picks up BB's option he better have a trade pre-arranged because he will have lost any leverage as teams know he wants to trade BB and can lowball him. I'd rather the Raptors re-sign GTJ than pick up BB's option and have him stuck on the roster potentially taking up GTJ's salary cap slot.
@@IceManLikeGervin and yes its generally how it works if you trade bruce brown to a contender for a 1st. they will ship you guys they dont want as salary match the 2024 first round pick in the 20-30 range is really a 2nd round pick with the guys that pulled out of 2023 2nd round to go in the 1st round in 2024. you are not getting good young assets for bruce brown. you likely wont get a future 1st either unless its a team in the 25-30 range and you still taking back salary filler.
Lots of talk about Brown but I'm not going to believe in any move until it happens. Hopefully they move him for whatever they can get. Obviously Lopez is not the type of asset they want so prearranging that next move has to be done.
Bucks aren't adding assets for an expiring role player lol buuuut what could get interesting is flipping Lopez to the MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES for the 9th pick + Kennard. Tbt I'd actually rather trade Poeltl there and keep Lopez to open up the floor but I doubt the FO would. But a 3 way deal with MEM is THE ideal move....but the Bucks certainly aren't attaching anything extra
Definitely will, you make it seem like he's a negative asset. Dude is a two way forward that was crucial in a championship run. Just because he wasn't that good for a tanking team is no indication at all.
Brook Lopez lol. Just saying, Bruce Brown ( at age 30 ) will be very valuable to the Raps in 2 years when they are contending. A mid first round this year to start would be needed for it to be worthwhile, imo, and maybe not even then.
Couldn't figure out why Brown was such a "valuable" player around the league when I saw him play for us. Hs gait was not very fluid so I was wondering about his motor. When I found out he had a lingering leg injury while playing for us it began to make sense to me that we weren't seeing him at his best so I'll take it on faith that other teams see him as a glue guy when healthy.
The bucks would have to send both 23 pick and 33 pick and we’d send them 2026 second top 35 protected. Then we would take Broke L Bucks try to sign two Cs vet min maybe like Mo Bamba?
I don't think trading for brook lopez is a good idea just for the chance that we can't move him because I don't see much of a market for him to be honest

So 1 good playoff run means more then his career stats. He's small for his position and on a 23 mill contract.

Use your brain. Why would Milwaukee trade y'all Lopez instead of getting Memphis pick
why would anyone trade a top 10 pick for fuckin Lopez? You guys are on crack
it would be nice if we can get a good young center to develop that plays defence , screens and gets rebounds if he can score too that would be a bonus
Brown for Brook, Jak for a pick… 🤔

The only reason he may not be a great fit for OKC is his age. Other than that he seems like exactly what they need.
Can any of these teams sign Bruce to a 3 year deal at lower cost per year? That would make him more attractive.
