The thing is, if you wake up and go to work here, you're guaranteed a payment. If you go to school, you will 100% find a job. I was so against leaving Ug, I always said nze nja okujako amataala when everyone leaves. Life was good until I lost almost everything due to the economic instability in Ug. Life is good anywhere when you have the option and ability to leave when things go left. As you digest Paradise's very good advice, remember he's a world citizen because of the USA, and he can go anywhere he wants with little to no hustle. But like he said, omutiima gwo jeguli. I visited Ug after a while and painfully realized my heart wasn't there. That changed my mindset. If you get a chance, come and write your own story.

I always follow these shows Farooq. This guy is telling the truth. 100%. I am in Netherlands. Though, the credit system is not common in Europe. One thing you need to understand, these countries built a capitalist system where by if you don't work for a month, you're dead. If you ask many people in the Diaspora they have this phrase, "Tuli mu System." Capitalism gives as it takes. I have often told people, if you earn anything 1million and above a month in Uganda, do not bother coming to these countries. Bambi tokikola. Sigala ozimbe egwanga. Otherwise you will suffer from Depression. In most cases, Diaspora will give you a somewhat comfortable life (what people think is a rich life), you'll have a nice Instagram profile, you may drive on nice roads, etc but you may not be rich as you think and you may not save much to do anything big back home. That's why many can't even save enough money to travel back home. People like to calculate money in terms of exchanging USD/Euro/Pound to Uganda shillings - Very huge problem.
My question is : In their old age will they still live that good life ? If yes then America is good than being in uganda to every one wants to develop home.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I agree with most of the things you mentioned such as making a decision about where you want to invest. Investing in two places at once can be overwhelming. Changing one’s mindset and becoming open minded to learn and grown is imperative. In addition, we need to let go of all our previous expectations. Most people become disappointed because of the high expectations prior to their arrival. Otherwise, if we can make it in Uganda, we can survive anywhere in the world!
