Victoria is the cultivar name? I'm curious how that plant looks like! 12 euros great price too!

What about the new shoot from the centre of the crown, as it were? Do you gouge it out to effect a permanent growthpoint ‘ectomy’ ?! ✌️

My baby whale fin has a spilt in it. What could be the caused?

    • @SnakePlantCollector

The leaf is splitting? I have never experienced that myself, so I don't actually know what would have caused that. My guess would be lack of watering or the soil might be too chunky. Whale Fins tend to absorb more water than other Sansevierias.

Yes, the Supeba is prettier than the regular whale fin. Good idea, I will copy your plan. But I don't have a good oval leaf yet😅.

I am waiting for the next good-looking leaf as well.

      Hi!
The purpose was to protect the main plant. And I didn't need the pup. I have so many Futura Superba plants.

How do I get my whale fin to grow.? It looks the same as when I got it.

If the Whale Fin is growing in a small pot, it can restrict its growth from reaching its full potential. Considering it can spread 1~2 feet, it would be best to grow it in a bigger pot. I just uploaded a Whale Fin update video, and I am going to move some of them to a bigger pot soon before they get restricted.

Hi Debra, you are right, they do like to be crowded. But I transplanted many Sansevieria in the past and most of them are doing very well actually. Thanks for watching!
