@@fibersplicegod Well at least your busy. Work for me doesn’t pick up until November. I have been doing gpon in the mean time until I get back to the mass splicing. But the moneys not the same.

Is there a easy way to deribbon on a midspan? Or 100% pain in the dick?

Easy no. Depending on the conditioning off the ribbon, you can bicycle it between your two thumb and fingers (you will cause loss of signal on live fibers and if not practiced, break stuff). Practice it thou. Another and safer method is to split the ribbon using the tool of your choice. The Mylar will usually fragments. I say usually because some mid 90's to late 80's ribbon isn't Mylar coated and isn't meant to be separated. Anyway roll it between your thumb and finger and this allows to pull on single fibers.
