around 12:00 he advises to watch the video on polarisation.. It would be nice to have the link to the specific video.

So my question is why do you need diferent size DIC prisms for each size objective? And how do you find out the size you need?

    Nice Lecture Sir.

I am growing highly pure synthetic calcite Crystal's and am also going to go get canada balsam because I want to make homemade normanski prisms for my microscope. I have already upgraded it into a polarized light microscope by extracting polarization filters from 3d glasses from the movie theater and old calculator/home phone screens but I want to upgrade it into a dic scope

DIC makes no sense because oblique illumination gives the same imaging.

The lecture itself is really good, but it is very difficult to listen to Edward Salman. Pauses and "aaaaa" take half of the time of the lecture

That isnt caused by age LOL. That was an improvised presentation, he is thinking of what to say as he goes.
      It wasnt that well prepared.

Salmon surely knows his topic, but the lecture is horrible. If you are a novice, the content is so advanced that you can't understand anything, and if you are an expert, the content is so basic that it's useless.

his voice puts you to sleep but this lecture was decent enough. It's not that basic for someone brushing up. Maybe you should go make a better presentation and stop whining.
