So funny this guy didnt even know who oompa was when he started this demo. Its crazy how much hes made, and im sure hed be delighted that someone found his teams work dependent of his channel. So stoked you posted the demo ! Thanks for the video !
Happy to support! I checked new demos on Steam and this popped up and wanted to give it a go because it looked interesting. Had no idea it was made by Oompaville. Gave him a follow and checked his channel too :)
I hope you understand how lucky you might get right here. Somebody with millions and millions of followers created this game and you're the first video that pops up
@@wasserbrunner could be much higher soon. It's been 5 days and the most recent red thread episode just dropped and this game comes up in conversation. I came here to see gameplay of it, didn't even know the channel, and its already nearly 6k views, compared to at most 700.
@derekcunningham6032 i don't really care about the graphics man, it's just a fun little game that a guy from the internet made. Why do you gotta hate bro just chill out
@@derekcunningham6032It looks bad to you maybe, but even I weren’t a fan of Oompa I’d say it looks like an interesting and tense game, and pretty good for someone’s first game. Idk why you think it looks so terrible. It’s not gonna be perfect but it’s definitely not that bad
Ah yes, another man of culture, a fan of Oompaville, a rare treat to be certain. I can’t wait for this to blow up, I can’t wait to play it, and I’m glad the demo is playable solo too, now I can play it lol
I downloaded it but was unable to play sadly im blaming my poor pc for not having enough power to run this demo i love oompa and hope they do some decompression on the graphics so a lot of people can play even with a lesser computer then most im going to keep up with development because the game hits close to home since i live in the Appalachian mountains and grew up with stories of big foot the wendigo and moth man and others horror's and stories of the mountains and what lay's behind the trees also Virginia is getting some love our state gets forgotten a lot i feel like 😂
I check new demos on Steam regularly. This one popped up as new and gave it a go and made the video first play. Still have no idea how even extract safely :D Will give this more play time for sure and try it out with friends.
just another indie survival game.. there's a million of these on the app store for free already man.. if oompa is retiring from youtube to make games like this, then im just disappointed in the lil dude
I'm glad not everybody is a little oompa d Rider because I was thinking the same thing this looks really really really really really really really really really really uninteresting and really just not good
Yes but it's got a small team of devs for love of the game itself and in time it will grow and become better yes there are plenty of free indie games but this is more especially to the demographic it can reach like myself it hits home not many games take functions and lore like this it's based in the Appalachian mountains where I call home and grew up it's cool see Caleb a guy from Virginia like me grow so large and making something of himself and building things that he loves if you don't like it you don't need to play it but he is doing it out of love and not a cash grab and micro transactions and other AAA studios BS that has ruined the love of games for many I truly hope it grows into a amazing game with time and I'll happily pay 20-40$ for a one time purchase from a game with people who are real and speak about how they are developing it and creating lore based around the beautiful Appalachian mountains I think it just needs a chance to grow it's new and something different with mechanics from tarkov and Halo planned to be implemented and if they ad mod support and knowing Caleb's background in modding they definitely will it's going to be a lot of fun with the boys seeing the creators of our home come to life from someone with the same mindset and place who also has a love for gaming. I don't want to be mean at all just saying maybe give it a chance it's something new and should be at the very least considered. Cheers
@derekcunningham6032 it has potential. if Phasmophobia is so successful then a Bigfoot Cryptids Esque Forest version would be just as successful if done right.

@@derekcunningham6032 bro are you just going to complain over and over again it’s not supposed to look like a shity triple a game with half a billion dollars in development bro

I mean how lucky is he gonna get? Get a few thousand views on UA-cam on a random vid? Lol

I want to play it. Caleb has brought forth A lot of entertainment over the years.
Love the atmosphere of the game and music. Still dont know wtf do i need to do in the end, but ill figure it out and thats the spice in this one :D
Feels like a backwoods episode of the original X-files
Anybody else vibing with the sound design
This crazy he was able to get a team to make this
Here before this blows up bc of oompas vid 😂
Aren't you going to comment on how bad the game looks like nobody is ever going to play this more than one time

Whoever is playing this is trying to make it seem like they are playing it for the first time. I'm suspicious here, like it is almost staged. 🤔
... What makes you say they are pretending to play the game for the first time??
They didn't even know who Oompa was.

Looks boring!
Indeed
Its not meant to be played alone. Many successful games would be boring alone.
