How romantic Emily is towards Victor. The only problem with this movie is that I now have hindsight bias. I wish it would have been Emily and Victor forever. It pains me. I am Christian. In my beliefs, I do not believe that we can be married in heaven hence "Death do us part." Sometimes I wish forever really meant forever. I feel Emily's fate really relates to this because she didn't get anything in the real world nor after. Even though she had the option of forever, she did not get it. I'm just rambling, but yeah. I hope you understand what I mean.
@@disembogue Wow, I totally get where you’re coming from. Emily's story is so tragic, and her unfulfilled love with Victor really hits hard, especially with how deeply romantic she is toward him. It’s bittersweet that she gave up her chance at 'forever' to let Victor be happy, but in a way, that makes her character even more selfless and beautiful. Your perspective about marriage and the afterlife adds such an interesting layer to how you connect with her fate. It’s amazing how this film resonates differently depending on our beliefs and experiences. Thanks for sharing that!
