I have seen many great keyboard teachers on UA-cam. You are the best I have seen so far. My opinion is significant because I am a college professor. You are a natural teacher! Excellent job!
Thank you bro -- you have some valuable stuff here. I've been playing for 60 years and I'm still learning -- thanks to people like you who are willing to take the time and effort to explain your concepts in detail.
Excellent tutorial. I have been playing for 25 years and wanted to know how to enhance my left hand. You just answered my question . Keep up the good work Mr. Holland . May god continue to bless you
Your management of the keyboard was awesome. I need you at my church working with my Praise team! As pastor, I know how important it is to have a good musician flanking my ministry. I've been trying to hold on to and attract good musician for years, but always end up playing myself and then preaching. Smh. But, I love music, and you inspire me to practice. Thank you so much.
I have been playing piano and teaching my whole life. This one video is so useful; it sums up so much in a short time. His terminology and insight is perfect. I recommend beginners to watch this video many, many times.
"thanks for taking the time to watch this" Man, you're so humble proportionally to what gold are your hands and your teaching. Thank you for making this video, you're helping a lot of piano amateurs like me.
Thank you so much I've always wanted to find ways of utilizing my left hand affectively when I'm playing. you open the doors for many ventures thank you I'm right there with you on this lesson appreciate you much blessing.
Great video! All respect to Kenneth Hollins! Man, those bassless chords... THAT'S where I get lost-- when you take out the root, that's me, GONE lol Back to the drawing board!
This is very good! I like the way you start relatively simple and demonstrate what you create if you progress to more complex.... very beautiful compilations, both harmonically and with the rythm. That 's what music is about :-). Thx!
Hello sir am a keyboardist from nigeria i play for a local church here. Please i want us to be friends maybe i will learn one or two thing's from u and may aswel learn from me. Pls reply
Although he covers many lessons in one, they all can be used immediately to experiment with, train the ear... Each bit of info leads to the next accomplishment. I will come back from church today and try out the lessons on this tutorial and visit his website. Subbed, thumb up!
Great lesson Mr. Hollins! I got the left hand down, but for a beginner like myself, the chord progressions are kinda difficult just by watching ur hands move. I think it would be easier if you showed exactly note by note, chord by chord what to play, similar to the video you did titled "Soulful and Gospel licks for Beginners" but I also understand " beggars can't be choosers" lol! Thanks for your help
Thanks for the tutorial. It is really helpful. I live in Chicago, and a lot of musicians here DON'T like to share their gifts , , ESPECIALLY C.O.G.I.C!!!
If people like Jamie Abersold would take time to break down chords and progression!! They would be as good of a teacher as you, I might visit the website because you make the piano easy to learn.
PS Let me add one more compliment. You start with key, you think 'key' and probably breath 'key' :-). Then there is a chord which is nothing else as the notes of that key, as you explain it, sorted in different order, preferably done by ear. Great :-).
+Ephraim Okafor Ultimate Video Downloader is an excellent App. I found it on the top left corner of my Chrome Browser where it says Apps. Otherwise, google Ultimate Video Downloader. It is excellent. I use it all the time for learning fingering for the tutorial videos
dont forget to be realistic - you'll have to put in a bit of work whichever method you use for learning piano I have spent months researching into different systems and discovered an awesome website at Turbo Piano Secret (check it out on google)
He is a gifted teacher. "moving tones leading to the root" Great!
