Experience was a big factor in forming a professional group. Mako, Rima and Miihi of course were trainees of JYP. Maya had also been a trainee with a Japanese Company for awhile. Riku was a trainee for YG before and of course Nina was a professional actress. Not sure but I believe Rio was also with a Japanese Company for awhile. Not aware of Mayuka and Ayaka having previous experience though.
Riku was not a trainee it was Maya and Rio was former member of a dance group. Its not about being a trainee Yuna was the longest trainee of JYP but she didn't make it
@My serendipity Riku attended a Kpop Acadamy, so you can't say she lacked training and experience. Experienced with members was important but not the deciding factor.
