All very good points. As mentioned perspective needs to be applied when cost and time seem daunting. And although I reached 1 yr in July, I was heartbroken (seriously) when my consultant asked me to continue to braid and band. So just last weekend I left a couple of locs out of the sections by mistake. One was just fine after shampooing but the other literally shriveled up. I had to stretch it by pulling at root and end to get it to hang as it normally would. So that experience showed me exactly why I still need to B&B. And to think I was going to be a rebel and completely ignore her...HA!! She would have had a fit!!!

I Wish my retie's were only 2-3 hrs! lol! With 670 locs, it takes 6 hours @$30/hr. But as you say, "you spend your $'s on what you want."

And you are right - I was in salon just as long (if not longer)! Mostly waiting around & being shifted from person to person; shampoo bowl, wait, wrap, wait, dryer, wait, ...etc! But my loctician services me right away! With Sisterlocks, No MoRe Salon Games, disrespect, foul language, and negative energy!!!

What is the build up? Sweat and skin cells? You don't use products oils moisturizer right? I like your hair. Tfs 😘

Yes. I cut my hair a few months before establishing locs.

You should consider not touching and roughing your hair so much. Just let them be woman! Had me all anxious while watching this video, lol. Just because they look joined doesn't mean they are not fragile.. Be gentle
    Best wishes on your journey!
