Happy New Year! Kudos for your work & I agree with your assessment. People love to hate, but the sheer scale of the game and the content is more than worth its admission price. The setting is magical and the soundtrack is what sells it the most.

Why...why, do all streamers forget that you can actually steal smaller boats like in AC Origins to get around on water? You don't need to call on your long ship every time in this game even if that is an option and there is a lot option in this game to do things. AC Valhalla have a lot of options for doing stealth kills and continue as an Assassin if you want to play that way to a large degree (even during raid where you can sneak around and take out that settlement of area before calling for help from your raid team which is necessary to open raid chests - need to have a second NPCs to move lid on chest and to open some doors). Don't forget you also can unlock a pet to help you later in game and control as a skill to do attack. So there are more to this game then most streamers even try to explore on their own. Add to that the amount of gear you can get from playing or buying from Helix Store (yes it is expensive, but still an option and you get some free items weekly from just checking store and claim it + from XP in UBISOFT Connect which can also unlock items).
@@beeping2blipping these are all good points, but I also think that the longship feels more epic and heavy, the stealth kills are heavily underfocused, I haven’t got to the pets yet and most people don’t want to spend money on a game they already paid for.
I have 700 hours in the game because this is the best viking game to this day. I spice things up by doing Aesir difficulty and deathless run honestly game is good
The game could’ve been more enjoyable if some arcs were optional, Sigurd and basim had more screen Time, the siege and raids had more variety, the stealth was fixed (it eventually was in a way) , the world events have potential but were too short , the conquest had no visible effect outside of main story , , eivor is a good antagonist but the game is so large it allows for many inconsistencies in her character, the motion capture cutscene quantity was so low diminished some other wise pretty cool moments
@@chriscolombie4135 basically spot on. I didn’t really go super in depth so I missed a few downsides that you just listed, especially with Sigurd, who was such a big character in the first few hours, he just dissapeared until where I am up to in the story, and the world events can actually be really fun, but they feel like really short mini quests instead of memorable quests with characters you can return to. The raids also all get pretty much the same so getting more variety would’ve made them stand out and be more fun… There was a lot of good, but also a lot of not so good here.
The RPG eea of Assassin's Creed is so good, the problem is with the title. If Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla were the start of their own franchises it would have made more sense and the negative feeling people have for those games wouldn't really exist. If only Unisoft didn't feel the need to milk the Assassin's Creed title.
Except all three games have the lore and the connected history with the Assassin's Creed games. I wouldn't say Black Flag deserves to be an AC game if Valhalla or Odyssey don't deserve to be AC games.
@AshAshReal That shouldn't matter, in my opinion. If AC Black Flag played like Valhalla, most people would look at it more biased. Odyssey and Valhalla have plenty of stealth options, but older fans like to point out the overpowered nature of the older games having more stealth tools. It's also worth noting that Connor, Ezio, and Edward have many altercations and fights before they assassinate their targets, just like Alexios and Eivor.
@@ac_nerd9794 if im going to be honest, I have not played that many ac games (i've only played the ezio collection on switch and valhalla, odyssey and mirage on ps5, so you definitely know more than me about this series. I 100% respect your opinion, but I do think that to be called an Assassin game, valhalla and odyssey do need to have atleast a bit more assassination options and mechanics, as the suggested way to play most of the game's combat is loud and proud, aposed to sneaky and stealthy.
@ ok i'll respect that, you are right it's your opinion. Its just that as an ac game valhalla is lacking a lot of ways. It barely has any of the core components of an ac game. So i found it funny for you to say it was the best out of the franchise
@kromatikal i would personally prefer the 12th game in a long-running series to do some drastically different things than just another game that does the same as before. I personally love that you never become an Assassin, but instead work alongside against a mutual enemy in order to achieve similar goals. It's why I didn't love Mirage. It just feels like a step back to completely familiar territory.
I have 100 hours in this game it’s a worth play game while not a 10/10 game the game is fun though but I would definitely recommend playing ghost of Tsushima instead of valhallah
@@TeamNebula456 this is not actually my opinion, it’s just what would make more people interested in the video, and most people reviews speak relatively negative about this game, and it surpassed my expectations because even if it’s not really an assassins creed game, it’s a good rpg and good game based off the Vikings which is not seen very often.
@@AshAshReal underrated means it's not recognized enough. AC Valhalla is literally the most recognized game. You can't be using the word underrated to determine personal feelings on a game that everyone knows about. People are using that word too often and this is a prime example.
