Fridge magnet is genius. I never would have guessed that and I intend to decorate my home with my creations. Thank you for the idea and these beautiful time saying rosettes 💗
You're very welcome Susan. You can use the same technique to make small "fan" embellishments - you can see them in my video ua-cam.com/video/qEIZefO9bcE/v-deo.html starting at around 01:45.
Christine, this is such an excellent video! Thank you for sharing!!! I love how these rosettes are a bit different than the typical rosettes we see. You are so talented and creative!! A few years ago I bought one of your tutorials, it was such a good project. I still use what I learned making that album. Also, I know it sounds a little stalker-ish, but I love your voice! You have such a pleasant tone and warm quality!! When I can’t sleep sometimes I just listen to you talk! I could listen to you for hours!
Really good to know. They are so tedious. I would much rather do two, than one for ALL that work. You even punched it after score and folding. That’s impressive 😂🤣. I appreciate this. I will give it a try. Thanks so much.
thank you so much for sharing you craft secrets!....you do save time...I was able to make 3!!! in no time....please keep making more videos...I am your follower now!!!....
I'm glad it helped! You can use the same technique to make small "fan" embellishments - you can see them in my video ua-cam.com/video/qEIZefO9bcE/v-deo.html starting at around 01:45.
Thanks for making this tutorial - I'll now know how to make those fancy-bordered rosettes easily. :) Also like the way you glue the rosette in the middle and just push in, saves time.
I don't know if you found a new lace punch but you can resharpen the blades by cutting a piece of aluminum foil. This works for any bladed items. Scissors, punches, utility knives.
That's a good tip and usually works well but in this case the punch mechanism (plates) don't line up well anymore so I can no longer punch all the way down. Definitely overused LOL!
GORGEOUS rosettes. EXCELLENT video. ESSENTIAL tips. My Tim Holtz rosettes have all been a disaster and these tips will apply. But your rosettes are much prettier than what his die produces. Thanks.
I love that you don't have to buy a die to make these rosettes. But I did buy THs snowfIake rosette die & had trouble with because many of the crease lines cut through. Then I found a video he did & he put washi tape on the edge to hold it together. I was thrilled when I tried it because it added a neat dimensional design to it.
I sell these Paper Rosette's on my craft stall in packs of 6. I make 50 every other day and making them were worse things I make but thanks to you I know an easier and faster way tfs Xxb
You're very welcome. They're lots of fun to make but I'm afraid I'm using them on everything lately... maybe I shouldn't be making them two at a time LOL!
@@Jay-vb4fk it's called Abstract Flower border punch by EKSuccess. I use it for everything LOL! Here it is on Amazon: www.amazon.com/EK-Tools-Abstract-Flower-Package/dp/B00DN65PYO/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?keywords=abstract+flower+die&qid=1562025781&s=gateway&sr=8-10
Christine.. Do you have a tutorial for making Heart Rossett’s?? Would you mind posting it?? I really want to try to make one of those &!those cute butterflies!!🙌❤️🦋
Hi there - I've only made a tutorial for the rosette flower, but if you search "rosette heart" and "rosette butterfly" on UA-cam you'll find some excellent tutorials.
I made them using strips of paper and a paper punch similar to this one: www.amazon.ca/Dress-My-Craft-DMCT4526-Punch-Daisy/dp/B07NBRCQLX/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?crid=20A7N3DXVW8QA&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.RRSlwfpA84dqnsUc-Ok7vvWLFZyB7khF2BaL-9oAqe_LXD1GFO3nh_5SxTfTP34wDv6e2JV6O6O9WD_txw7WzEvMq7ECKOo7siIUvLklowIc4KcezfLniUS07gI6xvqhDcPw4EJunXArEqsZUzpHCQrU4VA7CAnKp3vWTKzIO4un650jX4Lr9hvoy4gKBmVUnlkk8cqznPQlf01UvuT8tQ.YVwW3Lg0J32Sa8e6BTKhAV0tav-5sUUvA9RUN84aqU4&dib_tag=se&keywords=border+punch+rosette&qid=1713352696&sprefix=border+punch+rosette%2Caps%2C121&sr=8-16
It's a cheap glue gun I probably picked up at Walmart for between $5-$10 dollars. It's called AdTech. It's got a small nozzle at the end but you still have to be careful as the glue can splurt out fast.
The final strip sizes are 1-1/2 inches for the back layer, and 1 inch for the front layer. If making 2 at a time then use a strip that measures 2-1/2 inches, score, then trim into the 2 layers. Length I believe was 11 inches.
What is the size of the strips of paper you are using? The wider the strip then the longer it needs to be. In this video I start by scoring a piece that is 2-1/2 inches wide, and then I cut it into 2 strips to measure 1 inch and 1-1/2 inches.
Wow…I like the two for one rosettes. What a time saver. Also, liked the last rosette where you trimmed both layers with your punch. Great job👏🌟
I'm glad you like it 😊

Very cute rosettes. I’m not sure they were “quicker” but I like them just the same!!
Thank you! The reason they're quicker is because you're scoring 2 layers (or 2 rosettes) in one pass. I find the scoring part very tedious 😉

Just wonderful! Would you PLEASE tell me what punch or die you used on the lime green paper? I just love it! Thank you!!! 😍🏠❤

How about putting a dot in the center...then you can see it when you put glue on.
Matilda, that's a great tip. Thank you.
Can I assume you are in Canada. The French on the sour cream maybe an indication. I am in Manitoba. Your tutorial is very helpful. Thank you. Merci
Hi there! Yes I'm in Ottawa (but don't hold that against me LOL). I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful. Christine
where can you buy boarders like that at

@@scrappinrabbit do you score at every 1/4 inch or every 1/2 inch ? Thank you.
@@lisebedard7247 At every 1/4 inch
The rosettes are beautiful. Are you using a hot gun to glue them or is that some kind of glue gun?
Yes I'm using a small hot glue gun.
Nice
Per favore è possibile la traduzione in italiano ?
temo di non saperlo fare
Maybe I am not using the right card stock...everytime I try to bend the rosette, the paper tears

Malheureusement je ne sais pas comment faire ca. Si vous savez comment et c'est assez simple, laissez-moi savoir et je vais essayer.

Could you just fold it and not show it on camera the whole time, it’s quite boring watching you fold that paper.
There's a little button you can drag to fast forward.
Beautiful
Thank you Connie!
