Anime Brat…. 😒😒😒😒 I remember back in the day when Anime came on these kid’s programming blocks because people didn’t think were profitable back then. But kids were watching them and telling their friends about them at school. It mostly depended on where they lived but some kids were getting up early in the morning to watch them. Then WB saw how kids were watching them and saw $$$$$$$ in this Anime trend. And the rest was history.
That was pretty much the reason why kids were watching these Anime cartoons because they came up at an earlier time and telling kids about the show. I think that was the fun of this whole Anime Boom in the early 90s. Watching something elusive and exclusive. Then WB saw how this Anime Boom was making $$$$$$$$ and decided to cash in on it.
I distinctly remembered watching Sailor Moon while it was dark outside getting ready for elementary school. It motivated me to get up everyday! I didn't know it was anime or what that was till years later.
Yeesh, 5:30am?! That was way too early! My local network, KCOP Channel 13 here in Los Angeles, used to air this at 7:30am back in the day. It was another bad timeslot because all the kids (1st grade & up) would already be on their way to school at that time. Cartoon Network did a better job with Sailor Moon IMO; they gave viewers something to look forward to after getting out of school 😊
Yep. Episode 6, which was skipped. I guess they wanted to just burn through the Sailor Moon-only episodes and get around to introducing the other Scouts. By episode 4, we pretty much got the point.
And Also Episode 6 Of Sailor Moon Was not dubbed until The Viz Media English Company English Dubbed it and it's in Their Dub And the reason why it was banned in the Dic/Cloverway Dub It's because when Usagi's/Serena's Little Brother Shingo/Sammy Kicked Luna because it was An animal abuse episode And that's why they do not showed And dubbed in English the first Year It came out here in The United States Which was back in nineteen ninety five when the first english dub of Salior Moon aired On English American TV Also Too.
I remember that these shows were on either early morning or late afternoon. See. The reason why they became so popular back then was how elusive they were on at obscure times. But kids did watch them and going to school and telling thier friends about these shows. And the merchandise also was Japan exclusive as well. I remember when I was a kid. I once got a DBZ game exclusively from Japan on the PS1. (DBGT Final Bout$ And then WB saw this Anime Boom and thought $$$$$$$$ and the rest was history…..
I saw it on The WB! Television Network (WB20) at 6:30 AM when I was a toddler back in the fall of 1995. That's when I first started to watch anime on television back then for almost 30 years.
14 years old in 1992 as 9th Grade Freshmen, now in 1995 as 12th Grade Senior Class of 1996: Raye Hino
How I remembered seeing this commercial. It was shown on the WB network, which was supposed to be shown on Fox Kids.
Geez 5:30AM? No wonder the show struggled initially. Toonami got it right in 1998 thankfully.

This was my show growing up but the on;y downside was it came on so early 6am where I lived.
Monday at 5:30am? Who the hell is watching tv at that time 😂
@Elijah Steeby It isn't, Sailor Moon initially got cancelled in the US due to the show being put in bad time slots like that it seems

Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R join DIC Dub from 29 years ago in 1995.😮
Them keeping the Japanese theme music is a good sign.
Funny how they show Iguara in this trailer despite the episode featuring her never getting dubbed
