When the Slaters first came I thought they were refreshing. However by 2002 it became too repetitive and saturated. Every storyline was about them and when one massive storyline ended with one sister straight away another story with another sister and the repetition of crying and tantrums it all became samey and one dimensional. It seemed, apart from the Mitchells, the show became dominated by the family with repetitive stories and that's why ratings fell from 2002, 03 onwards for several years. No other characters got as much air time hence less development. However they were good characters
