I had the same concerns/understanding so I asked in the Bandai Organized Play (Judge) channel on Discord and apparently because Enel has an "If.." clause, the moment you reach that clause and it does not meet the conditions specified, you stop reading/resolving anything after it. So in other words, I think the bigger problem is actually in the cards design and not the rules (which is good, because we have to have consistency overall). So if the card would have been worded like this, "[When Attacking] You may trash 1 card from your hand: This Character gains +1000 power during this turn. Then, if you have 1 or less Life cards, add up to 1 card from the top of your deck to the top of your Life cards." Then it would have been better imo and worked the way I think it should have.
10c enel is a very scary card Also taken back by how powerful that eb02 luffy lead is. Definitely thought he wasn’t that good but after watching a lot of footage he seems quite strong.
Not really keen on the idea of playing this leader when it released since it became THE yellow deck and dethroning Katakuri and the late game mechanic with the big bodies, but this list, wow, the 10c enel is really good and annoying, I have all the cards already so I'm going to give it a chance when it drops to the west. Keep up the good work man, great channel and content.
34:42 i believe enel can only gain the 1k if he is able to gain life, just from how if then statements are in one piece. the only thing that confuses me is that it appears to be an effect and not a cost
yeah honestly, 10c ace along with 10c enel is good, gives you more options, and doesn't make you trash a card. playing them together is probably optimal, altho if eb02 enel is cheaper then you can run that as an alternative irl
At 36:16 you should have played the searcher event, in the case you find a Raigo to K.O the shanks. If you didn't you could have taken something else, then swung with Enel to regain the life. leaving up 2 don still to play out the Shiro Blocker.

Honestly I don't like the Flampe at all. Like theres no reason to take a life, your opponent has to attack at some point anyway and the longer the game goes the more we're winning. I'd rather have a potential trigger and use a searcher instead. Rest of the list is fire tho, I think your build should be pretty good into Teach because you can Raigo 10c Teach -> Kami into 7c Enel in one turn.
@Notaro-w3c But that's not how he used it. I agree that that play is decent but the whole turn 1 Flampe everyone does idk. If that life is a draw 2 trash 1 trigger thats literally a million times better
Flampe adds so much to the deck. If your 10c Enel sticks to board. If you are at 2 life, you can throw down a Flampe, net gain 1 card. Then toss one for Enel effect to go back to 2. Flampe has more legs in the deck other than that. Go down to 1 to use Raigo. Go down to 1 to Heal off Yamato and gain life. Counters when they starve us and keep us at 3 Life.
@@XPNAjexGGX You didn't do the math on that first play. The only thing you gain is 1000 power on that Enel. Play Flampe is -1 then +2, then attacking with Enel is -1 again leaving you at 0. You just cycled a 2k counter for a random card and 1000 power on an already big swing congrats
