    Thanks for your video! We thought for sure our pump was just broken and we were going to have to buy another. After following your video, we found a jammed rock! Thanks again for the clear instructions!

    This was an excellent tutorial
    It was clear and concise, and showed me everything I needed to know. Thanks for the tip about the shim kit too.

    Thanks. I got my fire pump working. I recommend adding "Honda water pump pull cord stuck" to your title somehow. (I hadn't heard of the term trash pump) Took me a few other videos to find this one. But glad I did. Thanks again.

    Thinking about picking up a trash pump so I figured I better learn how to fix one first. Nice video!

      Thank you very much for checking it out, the pumps are really similar from brand to brand as well. They all come apart pretty much the same

    I bought one for a fire pump last year, drained water & stored in shed over winter west coast of California. Spring this year I pulled starter cord to turn it over a bit and it’s stuck tight. Like a bulls butt hole in 🪰 fly season!!

    Hi, I have 2 Honda water pumps WPM20X, 3 and 4 years old. Bother pumps ha a sticky valve problem. What can I do to repair?

    This is a motor pump for medium dirty water, which is why it takes so long to clean it.
    A motor pump for very dirty water is easier to clean. this motor pump has an index of WT30 (or 40). Complete with the Bagermaster suction nozzle, you can pump out debris from the bottom of the lake

    How do you remove the IMPELLER? I have to replace the mechanical seal thats behind it...

      Remove the center bolt or nut depending on the model and gently tap it off the shaft, sometimes gently wedging from the back with wood helps

    If you pulled the chord on one of these and it didn't fire and seemed to spin freely (impeller too)with seemingly no compression, what would be your first inclination?

    • @smalltownmachineshop6860
      @smalltownmachineshop6860 2 роки тому +1

      Stuck valve, the valve guides move sometimes if they get to hot or a severely blown head gasket, if it was something internal like a bad rod or broken connecting rod you would probably hear something

    Hey Adam you should have ran that and pumped some water with it for some action shots

    • @smalltownmachineshop6860
      @smalltownmachineshop6860 4 роки тому

      I’d thought about that but the only water source I have on right now is just a hose so it would of blown all the water out then nothing. They ran it for 8 hours straight today with no issues so it’s good to go, thanks for watching
