I’m sure from a performance standpoint they’re amazing to drive but I really don’t like the way they look at all aside from SOME Ferrari’s. I’d choose Porsche anyday. I absolutely LOVE my 944 and out of the 10-15 cars I’ve owned it’s by far my favorite 😍 not to mention, despite it being an older car now; it still gets me a lot of comments and convos. Plus, the “you’re THAT successful at 24?!??” As if 944’s didn’t cost 5 grand 😂
It's definitely up there for need for speed games, they really perfected the cop chase mechanics later on with most wanted and carbon, but HP2 has a magic that they never quite recaptured. "I got the fever for the flavor of it oooh yeah!"
I see the car with 4 wheel drive doing donuts, driving through deep water and so on. To me, this car is being completely abused and thus the break downs.

They looked at Jimbo and talked to him and realized it was going to be the easiest money they’ve ever made off a PPI and just say everything was good, he should have checked the fluids himself just basic stuff and let them do the more in depth stuff but seems like he chose the wrong person to do it and got taken advantage of which is no surprise

Something crazy I noticed, I'm a diesel truck shop owner, and if you re build a c15 cat engine the right way, its around $35000 also, but it is good for another 1,000,000 miles is the only difference. Nice 379 Pete's that had the c15 back in 04-07 were around $125,000, one with 1,000,000 miles and a reman now are still worth around 75,000-125000 in restored condition.
On a positive Murci note, I have about 42k miles on my 2003 gated Murci and 20k+ miles on the current clutch. Car seems to run better the more I drive it.
Great video, I completely empathize with you. You can do everything right (PPI, research, etc......) and you get that Italian car that creates that love / hate relationship ( I love the car, but it is costing me way more than what is rational). I’ve been a muscle car guy all my life. But when I was young ( I’m gonna show my age now) I watched cannon ball run and right at the beginning is that awsome opening with the hotties in the lambo and I fell in love and still want one of those old dogs still today. In black.
This sounds a lot like my story. Bought my BMW Z4M on January 1st, 2020. A few weeks later the Traction Control Module failed. I didn't expect the car to depreciate 5,000 bucks before I had 500 miles on it! I had to start saving for the repair. Then Covid hit, and like many people I was laid off. During that time I found cheaper alternatives to have my car fixed. It took a million years to get parts but it's been running since October 31st, perfect timing to start this year's winter.
Thanks for this Tavarlish I hope the worst is over. After watching this I don't feel in the least bit sorry for myself or my E46 M3 that loves visiting "the shop".
2:33 100% agree.. To be the perfect exotic supercar must have paddles. The dumb idea of a supercar must have a manual gated gearbox never made any sense to me.. especially since legit racecars (i.e. Formula 1, Le Mans, etc) all have paddle shift. When I think manual gearbox, the first things that pop in my head is an old 80s Isuzu or toyota beater pickup truck, a chintzy underpowered 4 banger 2-door convertible, or a big rig.. not a high performance exotic supercar.
Sorry but this one kinda dragged on and on... basically guy buys a car beyond his means, shit breaks, he buys parts sight unseen, parts were broke.. guy spends even more money to fix and it continues its cycle. This is the life of exotic and honestly any sports car owner nowadays... you pay to play.. shit breaks when you modify it.. rinse and repeat
Like a quarter into the story and I feel like this is the car where the transmission blew up you bought another one with a cracked case I'm waiting for the story just to turn bad
I owned an '05 Murci Roadster years ago with a custom exhaust (pretty much the same as the LOC). The sound was amazing and I actually I liked the E-Gear. It still had enough mechanical feel to make it engaging. The pump whirring on startup and the sound of the mechanism working made it feel special. The only bad thing was, being a Roadster, the rigidity was like a wet noodle going on rough roads and railroad tracks. After I bought it, I looked through the receipts and saw similar issues to this one prior to my ownership with almost $30k worth of repairs just on the trans. (shift forks, clutch, etc.). I guess I got lucky in that it never gave me problems thanks to the previous owners wallet draining lol
one time my crank pully fell off my 335i due to bolts backing out, i just slapped some high strength thread locker and new bolts and thats done the trick, sometimes the easiest fixes do the job
He went through all the maintenance trouble With that Yellow Murci and it’s not even a 6.5 liter and a manual transmission, not even a 6.2 liter manual, could’nt have be me................
I remember being at the lemans 24hr race a good few years back. The murcielago that was about to enter the race could not participate because of the end of the crankshaft with the pulley snapped of😳 Bloody shame because it sounded great during practice sessions.
My takeaway from this is if i ever want to own a lamborghini, buy the cheapest one available, part out all the moving mechanical parts and replace every part i sold with an equivelent toyota part. Haha, i suppose a 1GZ-fe powered lambo would be pretty cool. Might have to mess about finding a transmission to suit the layout, maybe an sti six speed locked in front wheel drive would work... Hmm ideas

Growing up, there was nothing that came close to the Need for Speed games. Especially Hot Pursuit where you could either be the police or be chased by the police, I remember having sleepovers at friends houses and playing that damn game until sunrise because it was so much fun. Hell we would even play the demo for hours before the actual game was released back when PlayStation would give out their demo discs to people so I can definitely vouch for that
