Shrekles, let me just deeply, sincerely apology. You seem like a good, honest guy who’s Lawl feels like a lot of heart, passion, and personality was driven into it. To not comment on a single one of your movesets seems as if I’m not giving proper dues. So first I’ll comment my thoughts on Scratch Cat’s set, then give a quick, personal view of how I feel both the other sets came out, and thoughts on the rest of the cast. Well first of all, terrific character select, man. The tropical island makes for a unique aesthetic and select animations were pretty slick (btw, is that Narrator the host of The Weakest Link?). A bit basic, but for now that’s Ok among other things, I see that sly hand picking up the icon Scratch Cat was to me the kind of idea you’d make a joke or April Fools set out of. Of course Lawl noba (speaking of, thanks for cameoing Sweet Skap’s stage and Wah) being a massive part why, so it genuinely took me back to see him in this series. Way to blow my expectations high with not only a heartwarming, rad intro, but a terrific set as well! Set aside the unique, fitting Broadcast/ Remixing mechanic, and you’ve created what could be like, the hero of an SSE/ WOL type story. It’s true! The way he’s always chipper, confident, and inspired to create in his moveset makes such a satisfying character to follow. Not only that, but he also gives a unique feature to Aureus in again, the Remix move. Now you have a feature people would want to see more of as this spin off progresses. It’s just so… weirdly likeable what you’ve done here, instead of just making Scratch Cat a joke, annoying to use or fight character. That does lead me to the only critique I do have. With the way Scratch Cat “employs” foes with Neutral, it does seem like a boss type character. From what I’ve seen, Scratch is supposed to be a beginner’s guide to animation. A tool kids and young adults use to create short films or just have fun. Simplify the Neutral to have less options but more effective ones and especially snip up the Down (when you need to pull out charts, it’s kinda getting a bit much to chew on), and you’d have a superb “beginner’s boss”. Regardless, Scratch Cat has got to be my favorite, current Aureus moveset. You did all you could and more, (especially with those taunts, I couldn’t help but awwwww at the first one, mew) and I’m just, I’m proud of ya, Shrekles. Now then, for the rest of this spinoff. Pivotfigure initially seemed like an odd choice, but after looking it over a few more times, it seems like a very fitting choice for this creation themed lawl. Awesome Minecraft Steve is something I’d love to see happen, but would never expect to be done, at least, not by a Lawler showing potential. Also, honestly nice sprite work and animation for what could’ve been a lol, it poorly animated cause joke type moveset. Memeulous was okay. You could’ve given up struggling and sunk with the ship, but you carried on and delivered a rather solid looking live action character, so props on that. Bin Weevil Famous being my favorite move of his cause, a. It’s a bit funny to say and b. Has such a British charm to it. Might want to try to revamp or update Final Smash to make it more it’s own, memey thing though. Michael_P is… god the moveset I should’ve comment on before Scratch Cat’s. Something about P’s set video (creativity? Fun ideas? That admittedly funny Side B? A clear sense of nostalgia from ya???) made the source, something I cannot imagine myself sitting through, yet this made it tolerable. Glad you received more and more recognition as each new set came out. Oh and, great job animating his attacks at Scratch Cat’s KO section. The next character, Mic Chewing Kid is… another Michael_P kind of scenario. Seeing the 9 yr old on Minecraft vid, it well, def does a good job at what it was going for. Pelo is someone that’s needed rep for so long in Lawl aside mokey and underpants sans and in a surprising twist, you’ve gone and chose the man himself for that role. From what’s been shown though (including that marvelous walk animation in Nexu), I’m confident you’ll do a proper job. Randy Marsh is suuuuch an excellent choice for South Park. I’m sure you and the viewers will have a ton of fun coming out of their safe space to see this moveset that goes balls out on jokes and references. Shaun the Sheep is a nice, nostalgic choice. I’m certain all the shenanigans and constant means of escaping humdrum daily life can be translated to a fun, cartoony set. Angelo’s from a source I’m not familiar with (well… sorta not?) but I’m incredibly curious about. Repaint vids like the ones Angelo’s from can get so crazy and memey, yeah, this dude’s set is easily one of my most anticipated. … BUT NOT AS MUCH AS PHOTO NEGATIVE MICKEY! Talk about a nostalgia trip, I was such an unironic fan of Creepypasta’s as an early teen, Abandoned by Disney being one of my personal favs because of the creepy atmosphere and creepier imagery. But then when I got out of pastas and into FNAF fan games like Candy, Flumpty and of course Treasure Island. PHM is easily the character I’m most looking forward to when you’re ready to take it on. and that’s about all I’ve got to say for now. Best of luck improving upon this series, may your enjoyment of the things you love to partake in never grow stale, and if so, are given a second chance much like this true cool, artistic cat.
I'm very impressed with the way elements from Scratch were implemented into Scratch Cat's set. Notably, with the code blocks having a function to help users unwillingly help Scratch Cat gain power and provide various effects (reversing control, changing costumes), and later get used for a Down B that produces clones of the fighters. The Side B was something I didn't expect to be implemented, but it ended up being more versatile than most "storage" moves. I also liked the stage, with its main frame changing backgrounds and the other platforms being blocks of code, which is a nice touch. As for your upcoming fighters, I'm interested in Shaun the Sheep and Photonegative Mickey.
This is easily my favorite set of Lawl Aureus so far. I used to use Scratch a bit when I was a kid (and in my Freshman year of High School), and this guy did not disappoint. He looks rather tricky, but also rather fun with stuff like the Backpack, the Remix Mechanic, etc. If I had to come up with one minor complaint, it would be that the different blocks for Neutral B felt a little too similar, most of them being "stop the enemy for a few seconds". Other than that, great moveset!
I’m not an essay-writer like most comments on these videos but damn this is AMAZING, I don’t know why I these lawls and this moveset so much but I do. The animation is amazing and the moves are great too, I really like your lawls and I think your so underrated and deserve at least 1K at very minimum. Your lawls are entertaining and impressive, keep it up.
Shrekles, you really inspire me with your high quality Lawl videos. I got lots of hate on videos, I have dislikes outweighing likes on one of my videos and the others that don’t still get hate and it makes me upset, though your lawls especially make me want to keep going and ignore all the hate I get on my videos. Thank you for being an inspiration to me.
Wow I Love how you actually made this character viable while having it be like your coding in Scratch with all the Scratch-Like Atmosphere & elements added to This Moveset like Neutral B and Down B. Hype to see what you can do with Mic Chewing Kid
I’m late to commenting. This moveset was amazing not even kidding! I have always loved the oddball choices whose movesets aren’t extremely obvious and that’s your entire Lawl which is why you’re one of my personal favorites especially after one of the best movesets I have seen at all. The backpack, and it’s ability to store stuff. The scripts are a fun mechanic and REMIXES! Copying the opponent and using a clone to fight is such an awesome concept! And the animation quality has improved significantly! I love this and your moveset has propelled your Lawl into my personal favorites! I love this moveset I can’t stop gushing bye!
I'm not too familiar with Scratch Cat other than seeing a couple videos around it, but I have to say this is pretty good. The mechanic is pretty neat with moves like Down Special. The only thing i'd have to say that the idols aren't moving despite doing so before. But in hindsight i'm excited to see what you bring to the table next.
Honestly I am very surprised by this moveset. I liked how you made Scratch Cat into a boss character and despite the similarities to Yamamura and Cookie, he still felt very unique. I loved how his moves all blended with each other (mainly Neutral and Side B), making for a very complex but fair moveset which is fitting for the mascot of a programming language. Only complain would probably be Final Smash. The idea is cool on paper, but it felt like you did not have all that much control over it. Maybe if the platforms actually damaged you? Also DAMN the animation is actually really fluid. As another Pivot user I'm impressed, specially with the part featuring Toon Waluigi, you made him even more fluid than in my latest videos!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I WAS NOT EXPECTING YOU TO COMMENT ON THIS! THANK YOU!!!! :D Anyways, I understand what you mean saying the final smash is a cool idea on paper and to be honest I was unsatisfied with the final smash, but hey there's always an update patch!
This is a really great moveset and it represents the website very well and the moves are very creative and good for Combos or good for zoning and defending against your opponent and seeing the perfect time to strike (that's what I think anyways) but the backpack and the Down B are really handy anyways I do like the animation and the final Smash was the one I enjoyed the most and seeing the Noob Skin for Micheal gave a Smile to my lil British Face also I can say that photo negative Mikey will be a tough one for you to do since it doesn't have that much material at least that I know of but I could be wrong anyways your animation always improve every moveset and so does your creativity so keep it up I'm going to sleep so you have a rest and good luck with your next moveset (wow tbh I think this is the most I've talked/typed ever... o_o damn) (also I'm not good with sentences or grammer :/) KABOOM!
