Operation Khukri is one of the most daring commando operation ever carried out by the Indian Army on foreign soil. It was undertaken in the forests of Sierra Leone (Western Africa) in 2000 to helilift 223 Gurkha soldiers from a city that was surrounded by the rebel forces.
