I damn well know she can't hit high notes that well like ariana or Demi.... But her style is completely different, her voice is so soothing.
Even if she isn't a GREAT singer (for people like y'all perfectionists) she's really a beautiful human being who endured through her own thick n thins, she's so polite.
People only see what's wrong in a person not what's right, even if there are plenty reasons to love someone.

For me a great performer is not the one who sings the highest notes or belt the hell out in a song, but the one who can transmit an emotion and she can do that! Selena is an amazing writer and singer in her own way, I love everything she does because I can feel her, I can relate!
She can sing really well way back though. Maybe its lupus that affected her voice or the pains shes been through. Idk but i love her sm.❤️
But that's what like about her. She does these simple beautiful notes that don't need a whole lot to snatch your emotions. The beautiful airy note when she sings closer or the bright note of sober with the inflection on the end. It's so good.

Fr they don’t understand that there are different voice types. Singing takes a lot of effort and energy. As it’s an autoimmune disease, she will be fatigued which makes it harder and lupus does affect the voice. Her voice has deepened a bit over the years and she sounds better in low to midrange. And who knows what medications she’s on and what it does to her body. She’s smart to add breaks in the songs so that she can hit the higher notes without much trouble. She shows all the emotion and is a great performer. Gotta give her props for that.
