James, I was on an other video of yours watching you install a tempest. After watching videos of how this thing cleans. It takes at least 3 trys to fully clean the muck. Call me stupid if you like it's ok But wouldn't that tempest flush out better if you plumbed it to also reverse water flow (upon cleaning) and keeping the air at the bottom I think water coming down and air going up crashing the media would clean it better. When your done revert valves back to original flow when finished. I think it would be a great experiment. A little creative plumbing with reversing valves Hmm?
Little suggestion James. When you put your choices in the grow on could you bowl each one up and explain why you chose each fish. Eg pattern, body shape, potential etc. think it would make good content for others to understand what to look for when picking fish 👍

Changed my Sieve front for one wtth vertical bars raher than horizontal to get over the problem of varying pond water levels. 👍👍

Just sit down and rest for a few days and take everything in what a lovely job you have done and be proud of what you have achieved. Good content as always very enjoyable to watch ! Now then have you seen the Burton's in wall skimmer ? It has a floaty thingy that self adjusts to the water level and only skimms the very top of the water ! I have to say im not a fan of whatever you're in wall skimmer is but the mountain tree 🏔️🌲 skimmer dose look like it would be useful in a DIY moving bed K1 filter or to attach to the end of a pond overflow to stop unwanted stuff going down it. Keep Koi and carry on (making more videos) 😂👍🔨

Given what them skimmers cost that's crap. My KK cheapo wide mouth works perfectly.
It’s not crap it works really well but I thought it worked differently but still testing it out and I am liking it atm but my honest opinion is it would would better if I sit it in the pond 100% I am going to test that out as well soon
I was referring to the built in one, the front baffle is a major design flaw as like you say, it needs to draw of the surface, but any drop in water and it's between slots. I laser cut my own for the KK one for extra safety but they work without also because of the floating wier.

At the moment they are on 40 g a day but that’s down to the new pond in a few weeks I will update you that if my pond temperature holds better

I asked you about the pendants and I emailed Mountain Tree and they said there outlets were Absoloute Koi and Elite Koi so I emailed both and one said they did not sell them and the other said they were out of stock and when I emailed back asking when they would have some and never got a reply back so I was wondering if you could recommend anyone that sells it James

I had to test it out I think it would work better if it was on a straight bit of pipe with a pump on the end and not gravity could be worth a try first me to test out but I got to be honest when I show on my channel
