Best Mecha JRPG ever! I actually spent more all-nighters playing Xenogears than FFVII on the PS1 back in the day
FFIX, Dragon Quest Series, Marvel Characters, Nier Series, Kingdom Hearts Series Bring Arts Figures and also including Front Mission Wanzer or Xenogears Structure Arts Model Kits
Hell yeah Xenogears is one of the greatest rpgs out there and probably my favorite single game narrative that I've experienced!

One weirdly specific thing I've always loved about the Xenogears character designs is the choice of clothing material. A lot of plain cloths that are dressed up with color and pattern accents and fancy accessories (like Fei's sash) and the occasional rigid item (like Fei's... pelvis guard? thing). Citan's design goes even further in this, really hammering home that whole Chinese warrior doctor Wong Fei-hung look. Contrasts really well with the stiffer, more uniform-looking... uniforms... worn by many of the militarized Solaris officers like Elly.
Weltall-Id is incredible, it is one of the most menacing mech designs ever made, with spikes everywhere. When it is revealed in game, you get so hyped that you don't even care that it is kicking your ass.
A can of Soylent for those that doesn't know is rations made out of people
It's a callout to the movie Soylent Green and ironically uses the same name
"SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE"

Man! PS1 flashbacks hitting so hard right now. This was such an awesome game. My favorite game overall. I wish they would release it on mobile.

man the sculpt on these are awesome and the paint...
i bought the game riht when it came out back when it was on playstation 1...it was an awesome game.....might check it out when i'm in japan
Zak, fyi the blue robot transforms into the red one, they’re the same robot except the mental state of Fei changes, his id, as in the Jungian concept, takes over. There’s a really awesome cutscene from the game of the transformation on UA-cam, scaled up with ai to make the PS1 graphics look better.
I've wanted a figure/kit of the Weltall-ID ever since the game came out in the 90s. Hoping Square Enix makes the Nephtali and Weltall-2 someday!

With the design of the face plate (regular Weltall), you could paint this in Iron-Man colors and I feel it wouldn’t look half bad.
I had no idea Xenogears had these and now I need to hunt down that Elly.
It’s a shame this series never came to the uk.

Definitely Weltall Id is the best of the 4. i hope we'll get the titular mecha down the line. Or, by some Christmas miracle, a full remaster or remake of the game.
That game was sooo good, I wanna start playing it again. I got stuck in the city of _____ up in the sky, I remember being so lost I couldn’t continue, I was a teenager too. My favorite character was the big dude, I think his name was Rico.

Best RPG ever. Better than anything out today and I’m playing FF16 as I speak. Matter of fact all the old school JRPG’s are better than any RPG out today
In the forums people keep crying about stickers and no stickers, no idea what they mean as in-game the original Mecha had no faction decals or anything the like on them
It seems the mechas have better articulation then the regular figures.

I own Id and while it has a great shelf presence, I think the qc is all over the place on the figure and definitely not worth the cost that S-E is charging. I wish that it would get a model kit like the base form and Xenogears so I can have all three in scale and painted to my liking but I'd take a same line Xenogears if its made.

Yeah the welltall ID is pretty much the best one to get. Out of this line. The og welltall is what the overpriced flimsy hg kit version should have been.
As for the ID. If we could somehow slip in a gunprimer joint guard. Then that would prob remedy the loose knee.

For the price its pretty lame they couldn't make Weltall turn into Weltall ID for the amount of price they are charging you, and could have given us the ID version in its color correct red.
And where is Weltall 2? Sigh Square letting me down on what I consider to be their greatest RPG still.
