I fucking loved the moment I got the x16 score multiplier and the vocals kicked in just when the chorus started.
One of the best games I played this year along with Elden Ring.
Fully agree. This is easily game of the year for me so far, and I usually don't even like FPS. Without question the most slept-on game of the last three years.
@@IcyAuron AGREE AGREE. While Elden Ring was 100% my GOTY, and it will likely be many others and probably win at the Game Awards and all that, Metal: Hellsinger came through and fuckin BLINDSIDED me. Haven't seen a studio bleed so much passion and inspiration into a project for a hot minute. Finished the game and was like "holy shit. this is ART"
I desperately hope this studio does more with the IP and gameplay, because it's the best thing to come out in recent memory.

At first my favorite song was Stygia, then This Devistation...but once I got to 16x and the vocals kicked in..yeah this one became my favorite
All songs are bangers in their own right. And there ain't nothing wrong with more than one favorite.

Soilwork underrated? I mean most if not all aged like milk over the years, soilwork, sonic syndicate, the unguided, in flames, scar symmetry, all those melodic death metal bands.
I used to listen to them when i was 16 on a daily basis but they where just a product of their time and never managed to adapt so somewhat modern times. But that is just my humble opinion.

I love that later levels get *faster*, not just to ramp up the music, but the gameplay as well. Ramps up the challenge and the feeling of exhilaration when everything's on point, and literally scales how fast you clear through enemies too so you feel more capable, all without any need to scale damage numbers.
I noticed that, as well. Although Acheron felt surprisingly slower, especially after the Nihil's Dissolution.
They probably slowed down Acheron to make up for one specific gimmick of that particular level.

In most other games this would be a pivotal boss fight or the final boss theme even, but in this game it's just another level.

That was a big moment.

this was easily one of the best songs in the whole game.
One of my favourites from the game, with Stygia. Love playing the Nihil level, although it's strangely one of the shorter levels lol.
I would say it is the most intense level in the game because it's so fast paced, not to mention the boss sequence was chaotic af.
This game better get a lot of nominations at the game awards this year.

I never played the game, just discovered this song recently....and holy fucking shit - I've been playing it on repeat for a week. Its just so dam GOOD. Quickly becoming one of my all time favs.
This is so fire. I was banging my head the whole time and ended up like, top 6 or 800 on leaderboards or something. This game definitely made me a fan of this guy and his band!
Make sure to check out Night Flight Orchestra as well, Bjorn's other band. I prefer it over Soilwork, but it's way different. Sort of early 80s hard rock

When people tell me that Metal can't be catchy, I show them this song.
Yeah it is a pop chorus with metal sounds, but they pulled it off well. Normally I hate it when bands do that.
Best soundtrack for the Hounds. Song tempo fits it's rate of fire and the pistols sound effect compliment the song, especially the chorus. Soundtracks and guns have their own symbiosis as Paz would say... probably.
With ghost rounds the crossbow can be fired rapidly 10 times in a row. Makes the drop go CRAZY

Several years ago I had to start taking regular injections for medical reasons. Now my doc told me to listen to relaxing music, and I started trying to listen to stuff like Micheal Buble and that lovely Hawaiian man who sang over the rainbow. But I was super tense, then I realized that metal calms me, the heavier the better.
